else feel like complete shit? I am a half Dagestani and half Romanian although I was born and raised in New York City. My father (dagestani) was deported during 2011 when I was 9. I spent the summers all my life in dagestan visiting my father and my other family. During my sophomore year of college in NYC I had to quit for what I thought would be one year in September of 2021 to care for my father in dagestan who had cancer at this point. During this time I was forced to complete military service for the Russian federation for 1 year just as any other male of my age. When they promised us vacation time for Christmas as I’m a Catholic, I was instead sent to Belarus to be “trained” and after only 3 months there, we had gotten order to go towards Ukraine into the border. This obviously didn’t go well and I ruined my physical health and my mental. Now that I was hurt and no longer able to be useful I had got sent home to recover. As soon as I realized they would send me back I got the fuck out thanks to my mother and now can’t return to ever see my family again. Now I’m the villain of my own country. Even though I don’t care about Ukraine and went to a Ukrainian Catholic high school.
