I am seriously getting a little ticked off at the way today's Casting is played.
Health - The only reason that I like this is because it makes it a hell of a lot easier to gain health for Survivor once your game ends. However, I am very "pissed off" with how fast your health can go down from the starting 10. Yesterday night I decided to join a Castings after a long day at the beach at around 9:30-10:00PM, it takes forever to start filling so naturally I just lay down and watch some TV, I wake up at around 10:30, log on, only to see 18th under my new Castings. This pisses me off to a great extent. I think a better solution to this would be.
* Increase the amount of starting health so you can stay inactive from the beginning for up to an entire Castings day (12 hours.)
* Take away the dying of health factor away completely and replace it with a new system such as:
* Not completing the first two challenges.
* Not having at least 10 posts by Day 2/3
Keys - Honestly, why must we award those who simply lurk on their computer 24/7 with 30% of the final algo? Some people end the game with 7 keys and it's not fair for those who.
* Are good at challenges and have spent much time practicing them, only to get the same amount of algo percentage as someone who active lurks for keys.
* Are active and talkative but keep tabs open to multi-task, especially if a key comes while they are tabbed out.
* Have a life. ^_^
So basically, I think the key aspect of Castings should be taken out for good, or the algo percentage should be taken down to around 15-20% of the final algo, defiantly not 30%
Secret Sauce - Wtfbbq
Challenges - I am getting pretty pissed off in my current Castings, I am redoubtably the best at skill challenges in my Castings, however it's day 5, and nearing the end, We have had 1 Numbers, and 4 Deals. Of course, my best Deal score is only 5,000. Now you don't see people in Big Brother, rr/rw challenges, Survivor and other reality games depending on luck to get a good placing, I agree luck sometimes has something to do with reality wins, but this is just ridiculous. I am fine with WoF, because some part is luck.
Solutions to this are:
* Take away Deal 100%
* Make it so that every day, a new challenge must be played, and a challenge cannot be played until all other challenges are played once.
* Replace Deal with a game that involves skill.
* Make it less of a chance of getting Deal as your daily challenge.
I really see many flaws that can be fixed in todays Castings, after revisions, I hope the algo scores go more like this:
Keys - 20%
Challenge scores - 40%
Checks - 30%
Secret Sauce - 10% (and should be revealed)
I cant stand the Keys concept. Like, Im sorry I cant watch one screen for 24/7.
Im ok with DoND, but I HATE when we get the game game for like 3 days in a row. My current castings, we have played WoF for FOUR days in a row, IIRC. Might be 3, but still. Thats insanse.
But when you are getting it 4 days in a row, isn't that unfair to people who actually practice the challenges to be getting behind because of uncanny luck?
I agree with the Keys. I keep multiple tabs open to do other things while I wait, and then I come back to the room to read everyone asking "Who got the key?" and my first response is "There was a key????" I'm sitting at the screen for an hour straight waiting, and the 2 seconds I switch over to do something else, I miss the thing!
Castings are 100x better than what they used to be, and really the people who have no lives and key lurk constantly probably need the satisfaction of winning a game to keep happy farrr more than anyone else does. If they put in the time, they deserve to win!
So enjoy the beach =)
(And challenges should maybe play a bigger role in Noms, but I don't feel they should factor into the final 4 algo much at all)
