like shes wearing a headdress.

my god. people need to get over the racism thing because not everything is racist. If your skin is black then that is a physical feature. If your eyes are slanted its because you were born that way. Unless someobody is actually insulting you because your black or indian or white or blue then it becomes racist. Until then don't get pissy because somebody is wearing a hat with feathers on it.
Theres a reason they call this country the melting pot.

A hat with feathers. How ignorant are you? My god no one is ever educated these days.

It is. It's just as racist as blackface.

how am I uneducated?
I know what it is called I chose chose to call it that because it is an item. Somebody wearing it doesn't make it racist.

LOL even the term melting pot is a bit offensive because it assumes cultures lose their identities to become one and American.

That's why more modern metaphors are used, like a quilt.

Aydanmac01 Yes, your point? He posted this blog afterwards and I was informing him that he was wrong, because he is.

Barracuda stop using that example. A headdress was never a symbol of racial suppression compared to blackface. If you use an example, please pick one that is relevant and relate-able to the issue at hand.

Im not saying it's racist. But it is disrespectful to the people. Nobody understands that and thats the sad part.
Sent by angered,Mar 27, 2014
staymellow I am not debating with you anymore. You are clearly set in your ignorant ways and the only way for that to change is for you to educate yourself.

well in my opinion it doesn't matter what fucking color or ethnicity you are. For people to get pissy over stupid stuff like this is ridiculous. I remember making indian head dresses in elementary school and wearing them as projects. is that disrespectful?

Not to mention he has no way of knowing anyway her heritage...doesn't that make him the racist by assuming by the color of her skin she HAD to be a certain race???

I'm not even going to argue with someone like you. The "people" who get pissy over this stuff ate the ones it actually means something to.

nexuscain she said she was white

angered I'm "white" but "white" isn't a race now is it...Like I said the color of someone's skin doesn't tell you their heritage...

nexuscain ,like idk if im crazy but where I come from therers this thing called equality. And equlity doesn't mean that everyone has to believe that everyone is the same. It means that you accept the fact that everyone is different and love them for it. |

im sorry but you think your open minded and your actually a bigot.
Sent by burkett8975,Mar 27, 2014
nexuscain  wasn't calling you out btw. lol. I was agreeing with you. I realized that the way I worded that sounded like I was being defensive towards you when I was actually trying to say your correct with you statement.
Sent by burkett8975,Mar 27, 2014
@burkette8975 where I come from everyone isn't and truly never will be equal as that goes against human nature BUT I obviously have to agree with you on how PC and bitchy ppl get about things ESPECIALLY things that don't concern them lmao...

@burkette8975 nexuscain
I dont need to be open minded for this one. And this does concern me seeing as I am off this culture. Not using these add fashion is simply an act of respect as headdresses were very honorable and spiritual items.  Not just anyone wore them and to me it is disrespectful for people to wear it just because. It is not a way ofhonoring us or respecting our culture either.
