A man by the name of Domany wakes up to a bright light in his face, he is lying on his back he opens his eyes and sees the whiteness of the light, h blinks quickly and looks around still lying down he sees walls that appear to be metal covered in what appears to be rust. He sits up and rubs his eyes. “What the hell happened?” he says looking around confused he looks in front of him and sees a door. His eyes widen and he gets to his feet and runs towards it then something pulls him to the ground and he hits his chin on the cold stone floor. He grabs his mouth and spits out blood and a tooth into his hand. “Oh.. god” he says starting to panic he puts his tooth in his pocket and wipes the blood off on his jeans “ugh.. great I hope this is washable” he mumbles to himself. “What the hell pulled me down all of the sudden?” he asked to himself then he noticed a chain around his ankle chaining him to the wall. Slightly above that is a rectangle shaped hole in the wall and darkness, next to that is a light switch he crawls over to the wall, his mouth sore and flips on the light switch. And lights come on on the otherside of the hole in the wall and he looks threw it and notices it’s a room, and in the middle of it Lies a person who slowly sits up. Domany’s mouth drops open and his face goes blank, Its his ex girlfriend from 2 years Lost. Domany and Lost’s relationship lasted for 2 years it was great until the last week.
Domany and Lost were at the carnival it was in town for the week and this was the last day until it was taken away. Domany had spent lots of money on the games that are said to be “rigged” in an attempt to Impress his girlfriend, and to get her a cheap gift. Domany didn’t have much money, he could afford his car, fairly decent fast food, and his pretty nice apartment. The tv didn’t have cable, but the bed was king sized and soft. Lost moved in with him a month before and she was glad with what she had she was just glad she could spend time with him. She thought nothing could destroy their relationship.. but what was about to happen would change their lives forever. That evening just as they were about to leave for the carnival their was pounding at the door Lost started standing up but Domany got up instead “Ill get it” he said smiling. She smiled back at him. He walked too the door and opened the door it was his brother lindb. “Hey lind” He said sticking his hand out for a handshake. “Ugh.. man.. I am… wasssstedddd” said Lindb, he started to laugh a little. “How did you get over here?” asked Thedomany “I.. wal-“ he burps “ked. From the orbit.” Said Lind. The orbit was a popular dance club. When Lind went he’d dance with a few people. Just having a good time but about 30 minutes into his stay he’d start ordering the drinks and by the time he’d leave he would be drunk. And he would go to his brothers apartment and crash if his brother was going to do something with lost. “So.. you doing anything with the lady tonight?” He said winking at lost, she giggled. “Yes we are going to the carnival, lucky for you, you get to crash at the place.” Said Domany laughing. “Oh alright thanks bro” said lind kinda shocked that he so easily talked his brother into letting him stay at his place. “Alright you coming babe?” asked Domany walking towards the door and picking up his keys and jacket. “yeah ill be right out I just gotta get my purse.” She said.
Domany walked out of the door waiting on Lost. “Hey” Lost said to Lind who was laying on the bed half unconscious. “huh?” he mumbled. “She walked over to him and put her car keys in his hands, with a 100 dollar bill. “this is some extra money I’ve been saving up, since you’re my soon to be brother in law I think you should go have some fun at the orbit or something” she said smiling “just don’t crash my car” she said giggling and she walked out of the door closing it behind her. Lind sat up with the keys and money in one hand. He rubbed his face with the other “wow..” he said quietly to himself “brother in law..” Lind was always jealous of his older brother, his brother was more muscular than him, more popular, he was the family favorite, and he was dating Lost. Lind knew lost before Domany did. They dated in freshman year of high school but, after about a month into their relationship lost broke up with him for Domany. The day that happened is the day Lind started drinking and smoking. He knew what tobacco could do to your body, and what too much alcohol consumption did to the brain. But the truth is he didn’t care and ever since that day he always would say “I wanna be sedated. Now that’s MY song, I wrote it.” But of course he was lying, he didn’t write that song, he just wanted to fit in. Back in the present Lind was sitting their at the bed “I don’t need her!” he said he stood up angrily and took the money and the keys and walked out of the room slamming the door behind him, not locking it.
Engine running. Screech of tires. Squeal of breaks. Coughing. Screaming. CRASH. RIP. POW.
Ring.. ring… ring.. “Ugh. Doesn’t anyone know when not to call me” said domany “I put my facebook status to do not disturb, going to carnival with lost. Ill update status when Im done.” “Oh its okay you can tell them to call you back.” Said lost. Domany was about to get his phone when he noticed it stopped ringing “Oh. It stopped, Ill call them back later.” “you sure?” asked lost. “Im positive babe” He said smiling “I don’t want anything getting in the way of our perfect ni-“ He was cut off by his phone going off again. He laughed a little “typical” he said annoyed. He took his phone out of his pocket and answered. “Uh.. Can this wait please? Im at the car-“ “No.” Interrupted a deep boring sounding voice. “Uh.. excuse me?” Asked Domany. “Is this Domany uhh.. too suu” The voice tried to pronounce. “Uh.. its tosunom. And yes this is him. May I ask whos speaking?” “This is Dr. John Alexander from the Orlando medical center” “Uh.. what can I do for you.. doctor?” Asked Domany sounding confused but worried. Lost’s face went blank “Oh.. no” she said quietly to herself.
“Well we have your brother in wing 23 of the hospital.” Said the doctor.
“What? How? He was at my apartment last time.” Said Domany.
“ He had a pretty severe car wreck.” Said the Doctor.
But that wasn’t all that happened after storming out of the apartment angrily Lind got in the car and drove off to the orbit just up the street drifting slightly on sharp turns out of the apartment parking lot, making the car tires screech. When he got to the orbit this time he wasn’t there to have fun. He was there to forget. He ordered drinks. Over.. and over.. until he finally had enough. Unluckily for him though, it wasn’t his choice when he had enough. Lind had an ulcer, a bump on his liver about the size of a gold dollar, caused by too much drinking. And on that last drink he hoped to ever have. It ruptured causing massive internal bleeding of the liver and soon after caused liver failure. He threw up blood and everyone on the dance floor backed up screaming as if he was some kind of monster. He ran stumbling to the door taking out his keys. He had to get to a hospital he got in the car and started it backing it up quickly he shot down the road missing a stop sign as he saw the hospital get closer and closer his car went faster and faster. And at the last light from the hospital he didn’t notice it turn red. He shot out into the middle of the street and a semi crashed into his car flipping it over sending him flying.
After a lot of turns of the car it finally stopped as it landed on the roof. Lindb was dead.
Back in the present domany was talking to the doctor still.
“ his car flipped over” the doctor said.
“ Who the hell gave him car keys!?” Yelled Domany “What did the car look like!?”
“It’s a red Honda” said the doctor
Domany’s face went blank and his mouth dropped open. He slowly turned to face Lost, who looked at him scared “LIND CRASHED YOUR CAR!” He yelled angry and confused. He started crying and sat down at a bench nearby. Lost sat down next to him and rubbed his back. “How did he get your keys!?” asked domany sobbing.
“I… gave them to him.” Said Lost. Domany looked at her “You.. killed my brother!?”
Asked Domany shocked. “No. I didn’t kill him Dom!” Replied Lost beginning to cry herself. “THEN WHY IS HE DEAD!?” He yelled standing up. Everyone around them turned to look at them.
“YOU DON’T KNOW THAT!” Yelled Lost standing up.
“ HE GOT HIM BY A DAMN SEMI HES DEAD! HES MUTILATED HES CRUSHED HES DEAD! MY BROTHER IS DEAD BECAUSE OF YOU HE DIED! YOU GAVE HIM THE KEYS! HE WAS DRUNK!!!”
Lost was sobbing now.
“ WHY ARE YOU CRYING!?”
“I.. I… I just wanted him to have fun!” she replied with her head in her hands.
“WELL SUCK IT UP! HES NOT YOUR BROTHER! ITS YOUR FAULT HES DEAD IN THE FIRST PLACE!” Yelled Domany at her.
There was a crowd, babies with their parents were crying from the noise, and some kids around 7 started crying. “Make the scary man go away mommy!” one kid said sobbing.
“YOU ALWAYS SAID YOUD BE THERE FOR ME YOU NEVER SAID YOU WERE GOING TO MURDER MY BROTHER!”
Lost was defenceless she was sobbing. “Im so sorry baby, please forgive me!” she said tears pouring out of her eyes.
“SORRY ISNT GOING TO BRING HIM BACK! IS IT LOST!?” Yelled Domany.
By this time it got so rough that the Sercurity was forced to come out and they took him by the arms.
“alright.. come with us you know the deal.” One cop said bored sounding. They never had anything exciting happen.
“NO!” yelled Domany and broke free from their hands and ran as fast as he could. He could see the hospital in the distance he was huffing and puffing gasping for air. “LIND! IM COMING!” He yelled.
He out ran the security. Shortly after he started running the officers decided to just let him go, he was leaving the carnival himself. He ran out in the road and stopped suddenly and turned seeing bright lights facing him and heard a honking, It was a car.
“ Lind…” He said.
IMPACT. DARKNESS. WARMTH.
When we awoke he saw a light and a ceiling appearing to be rusted he looked around. And saw he was chained to a wall. With a hole in the wall. And a light switch. When he flipped the switch up he saw a light come on in the hole in the wall it was another room. And he saw a person laying in it. “what the hell?” he asked. The person sat up. He could not belive who it was.
It was Lost.
