They've only had TWO brown people on Survivor: Natalie and Nadiya
Like, when your race is extremely unrepresented not only on reality TV but also in the media in general, you have every right to only support those who are representing your people on television. People who say " Timster is racist because he's white!!!" don't understand what white privilege is.
I am well aware etaco75 as I love both the twins BUT the reasons they were put on Survivor had nothing to do with their race. It had everything to do with the Blood VS Water, their amazing race history, etc. Yeah their race may have helped, but it wasn't the determining factor on why they got on. Compared to earlier seasons, Survivor isn't as diverse as it once was example: cook islands. Every season should have that much diversity (not saying they should be segregated into different teams) but you get my point
I don't really even argue this, cause anyone who gets upset is clearly unstable/dumb. You don't have to defend me about that irrelevant top blog that was meant to spark a reaction out of me.
Pretty much what etaco75 says even though lets be clear I always root for more than just the minority contestants, just read my blogs. Ion gotta defend myself.
coreyants I think hispanics/latinos w.e u call them r the highest. blacks r 2nd biggest minority here.
coreyants Oh yeah I know like if they weren't on TAR they wouldn't have been on Survivor and there still would be no brown people ever on the show. I'm only saying that it's still unfair because like their race is never represented.
why does race matter at all?
they shouldn't have a quota to meet. by saying that they need more of a certain race, then you're basically saying they only got picked because they were black, hispanic, etc.
that said i do think they could make a better diverse cast. i'm just saying having 4 whites, 4 blacks, 4 hispanics, and 4 asians like in cook islands makes it seem like they had to fill a race quota or something.
