dav_o_79 telling my friend to go back to nigeria isnt racist LOL like i tell rob to go back to mexico and annika to go back to australia
thats not racist lol
dav_o_79 i think youre just looking for reasons to call people racist
like i know im not racist
you can think i am if it BEHOOVES you, but i know im not
Lemjam6, yes you are. I'm sure you've sat on calls and shouted the N word around your little friends numerous times. I think you've even said it on a call I've been on before or maybe not. You are a little bit racist and I'd respect you more if you just owned up to it. Just because your black friend Turney1805 validates your behavior does not mean it makes it fucking right.
dav_o_79 i mean id be lying if i said i didnt say the n word like once in my life, but i dont use it like my roommate is black and my best friend is black i wouldnt just throw that word around
Well Lemjam6 that's smart because if you did I'm sure you'd get your ass beat...however, just because those people are black does not mean you can't be a racist :)
Nah Turney1805 You needed to be used as an example because you let this kind of behavior happen. You were always involved and besides, didn't you make a blog condemning his foolish behavoir! Sorry about it, hun!
dav_o_79 Jake is his own person, I am not his mommy, I do NOT need to hold his hand. I am not his lawyer, nor do I need to be responsible for his behavior. Ive already talked to him about how I feel about the N-Word and few other moments we've had. And my blog about the Nigeria comment was a joke, because it wasnt racist or malicious when he said that, my family is from Nigeria. Maybe its a big deal to you, but its not to me.
There is a point when something is racist, but we cannot be hypersentivity to everything, especially playful comments, like the Nigeria comment for example.
So please, either resolve it with him or leave me out of it. You do not speak for me nor do you know every single conversation we have had. Furthermore, until you know our every single interaction then you CANNOT be the one who speaks for what I do or do not think is acceptable behavior.
So let me say it again, leave me out of this, it is not my issue, it is YOURS.
This is a common trend with Africans that come to America Turney1805 and I'm not surprised whatsoever at your comment you just made. As for "speaking for you" I speak for ALL black people when it comes to racism like your friend portrays. It's disgusting and its a shame that you let it happen and see it as a joke. But it is what it is.
And right there is your problem, you are not the spokesperson for an entire race. Maybe in your head, you need to be to feel some purpose or whatever, but it is absolutely ludicrous for you to think you can speak for millions of people. You can speak for yourself, thats fine, but you cannot nor should not speak for all of us.
The plight of racism that is faced in this country is because people can't have open and honest discussions without someone trying to be the hero or vigilante for an entire race. We don't need a hero, we need honesty and perspective. How else is our society as a whole ever going to learn?
I would say sorry for disgusting you and all, but Im really not sorry. When there has been issues, I have said something, but Im not going to crucify something for every small comment. In my eyes, that is neither helpful nor productive.
But hey you keep being the spoken hero of the African American community, since you clearly think to know it all.
not all white people are a little bit racist?
