Tyler: Look Dak I don't think that you are in danger of going home this week, but the song choice and the decision to sing it acapella was the wrong decision. It showed off a lot of your weaknesses and there were several bum notes. You need to recover next.
Karina: very risky going a cappella ! Do I think it was a good idea? Sorta . But I respect your decision , you sounded great even without the music in the back and it was a good performance
Tocans: My problem with you is that you haven't given me a grade A vocal performance yet. This did nothing to change my opinion. You really need to bring it next week.
Zach: Acapella recordings are always a dangerous thing. You did a fairly good job staying on pitch, but the tempo and rhythm didn’t seem very consistent to me. All in all this felt like an awkward performance for me. I think you sang fairly well, but the lack of a backing track definitely hurt you.
Okay, so I felt this performance was solid and very risky. There were some parts of the song I felt that were just kinda awkward in a sense. On the other hand, you also showed some innocence in your voice that I didn't hear the last time. So, I think you're going to survive this round, but I agree with the judges that you should just stick to the track in the background. Overall a pretty good job though :)
I see improvement from last week which is good but I don't think acapella was the right choice. I'm on the fence about you, hopefully you get the chance to win me over next week.
