that people who are consistently nominated in stars are not playing the game correctly. this is not a reflection of current stars players, but that is NOT a strategy. that's relying on your popularity to keep you in the game.
that deserves no respect. real players do something to stop getting nominated. someone shouldnt be nominated more than 2 times if they're actually playing correctly.

I dont agree, when i was nominated a lot in that recent stars i was trying and trying and trying to avoid being nominated. I knew exactly what was happening and warned people over and over again... however they wouldn't listen and they all slowly fell one by one at the hands of the person i told them not to trust. I didnt stop trying and i didn't ever accept being nominated and nor did i rely on sitting back, doing nothing and waiting to be saved.
I have also made it through/won unnominated. I had to put much more effort in to the game when i was nominated over and over than i did when i went unnominated.
