18. DALE WENTWORTH - Other than making fire, which was kind of cool, he was kind of a dick, right? Also a psychotic casual/twinnie hater. His handling of rice gate completely turned me off to him and I just don't want to hear from him or his parrot nose again.
17. JOSH CANFIELD - Boring gamebot who they hyped up so much but in a frustrating, rather than entertaining, way. Not one of the better gays on Survivor, but I felt bad for him when the casuals said they hated how he was kissing his boyfriend on national television (GOD FORBID). Also, his sense of entitlement really rubbed me the wrong way. He voted Baylor night one, but still expected her to flip back to him at the merge.
16. ALEC CHRISTY - Other than him trying to flirt with Jaclyn, which was kind of hilarious, there wasn't much to say about Alec. He was a more boring version of his brother, with more misogyny.

14. JEREMY COLLINS - He was pretty negative the whole game, while pretty much being all talk? I like him, but like as an edited character of Survivor, he was kind of disappointing.
13. JOHN ROCKER - This is as far as someone as bigoted as him can go. He was good for a few moments, but he should not have said some of those things to Natalie.
12. WES NALE (virus) - If it wasn't for his boot episode, when he talked to Jeff about Two and a Half Men at the challenge, he'd be much lower. He's just kind of hilarious.

11. JULIE MCGEE - Her quit episode... wasn't that bad. I wasn't frustrated at her, and I kind of expected it. I thought her stealing the trail mix was hilarious, I just wish we saw more of her personality during the season.
10. MISSY PAYNE - the evil stepmother < 3 Her characterization was kind of hilarious, but I think they could've done WAY more to establish her as the villain if that was really who she was out there, I thought Reed's speech characterized more than the edit did. But still, she was funny.
9. KEITH NALE - He's funny and clueless, but it's almost at a frustrating level. I appreciate the comedic relief he brings to this season, but this is as high as I can rank someone like him.
8. REED KELLY - One of the best gays in Survivor in a long time. He's extremely well-spoken, hilarious, and endearing. Best line of the season: "Baylor, you're a brat!" He was great to watch when he was on the bottom of the merged tribe's totem pole.
7. BAYLOR WILSON - She was kind of likable, and I think got a lot of hate by association with her mother from the casuals? Her blindside is also hilarious.
6. NADIYA ANDERSON - This is probably as high as I can list a first boot. As a gay guy, I don't care as much as Josh did by saying he was one of the girls, because she meant it like he would be part of the "girls alliance" since her previous alliance was full of girls! I can't hate her for trying to form an all-girls alliance before that, and I'm glad we still got a bit of her humor before she got out. Second chance snub.
5. VAL COLLINS - Absolutely hilarious second-boot who I feel got shot down just as she was starting to fly < 3 Val is someone who I'd love to see get a second chance, and at the end of the premiere I had VERY HIGH HOPES for an underdog girl who slays the men who wronged her. She's just kind of spunky, fun and sweet. She's the unsung hero of San Juan Del Sur.
4. JON MISCH - Besides the fact that I find him hot as fuck, I really enjoyed him, especially his interactions with Jaclyn. Very sad he didn't return his call for second chances, as he's one of my favorite guys in a long time.
3. DREW CHRISTY - He has the best arc of any pre-merger in recent memory. It's not exactly a full circle arc, but it's more of a he torments everyone around him and thinks he's the kingpin of the tribe and gets what's coming to him in an epic, fabulous way arc. I can't be mad at him, he was so entertaining from his start to finish. I would love to see him again in any way, shape or form. Drew did the impossible, and made me love a tool.
2. JACLYN SCHULTZ - Grossly under-edited in the pre-merge. I think she could've been a much bigger character, and it kind of pissed me off how Jon was the one who introduced her MRKH syndrome. It almost became his story instead of hers, which was a bit disgusting. The edit didn't do her many favors, but in the glimpses they showed of her, she was perfect. Her righteous as fuck tribal council moments in the pre-merge, her great FIC win, her sassing Jon out when she didn't need to, it was all great.
1. NATALIE ANDERSON - My favorite winner of all-time, her only flaw in the edit was that she was a bit under-edited at some parts, but we did see all we needed to see of her (at the minimum). I wish her arc had less to do with Jeremy, and more to do with her own personal journey. Her twinnie was voted out first, she slayed the faves, and won as a result. Even the casuals celebrated her win. SPEAKING OF WHOM, remember as soon as the cast was announced that all of the casuals were like "I AM DONE WITH SURVIVOR THEY CAST THE TWINS FROM AMAZING RACE THEY ARE AWFUL" (reminding you, this is coming from the people who didn't want to see men kiss on tv). The fact that she made the casuals do a complete 180 on her and cheer for her, is pretty fantastic. She's a riveting contestant who played an amazing social game, slayed in challenges, was good for many comedic moments (her trying to wake Drew up, her spitting like Keith and it epically failing, her slaying Jon when she took him on reward, her blindsiding Baylor, her actually finding the idol), and is a huge reason why San Juan Del Sur is an amazing, underrated season.
ilovesleep i'm already regretting nadiya that high just because we didn't see too much of her to justify a high position, and even baylor because i can't remember why she was so likable, but i've done enough writing for now
San Juan Del Sur is such an amazing season and it doesnt make sense to me why Jeff and most people dont really like it. Fun moves, great characters, perfect winner
