ANTM CYCLE 12 GIRLS REVEALED! My Thoughts Jan 28, 2009: Ok, so the promo pics for the next Cycle of AMERICAS NEXT TOP MODEL were released not too long ago and Im pretty frickin excited!
So here is what I think of all the girls!!! Heres one of the many places where you can find the pics:

ALLISON- I love this girl already, she seems like somenone I would hang out with, the artsy type. She has such a soft attarctive look and amazing doe eyes. She will be the Marjorie of this cycle I think, really good at high fashion but might struggle with commercial. I think she will make it overseas, as long as they dont screw up her hair with the makeovers haha.

AMINAT- I kinda want to like her look, but she reminds me of Stacey-Ann, Sharaun, Bianca, Ambreal haha. She kind of has a very typical look, except for the fro, which they will surely get rid of at makeovers. Rockin body! I think she might have a bit of an attitude though, I dunno, just getting that vibe. She will get at last half way, maybe be the "shock" elimination before overseas.

CELIA- She looks really angry in her pic lol, but I think she has an ok look, probably only at tje right angle though. She works in the fashion industry already, so she will have a lot of knowledge and probably know what to do with herself. Dont think she will have the best control of her face though. She wont make it past Top 5.

FO- I kind of like her face, nice long neck and good body, but she looks a bit bored and not that passionate, she might be eliminated for not wanting it enough. She has tattoos on her hands hmm. Maybe shes a bit of a badass? Haha. Im unsure about her, but I think she might make Top 6.

ISABELLA- I like her face, she has really good bone structure. She needs new everything else though, new hairstile, maybe long and brown, her hips look very disproportionate to the rest of her body. And her pose looks awkward, I dunno her face doesnt seem to match her body.

JESSICA- SEXXXY!!! I like this girl, she looks real sassy and sexy and has this strength in her eyes. I think she will go far if she doesnt make everything too "hoochie" haha. You can tell she has a lot to learn but has a lot of potential. Maybe not the best face for high fashion, though.

KORTNIE- Ugliest spelling of the name lol. I like her facial structure, its really cute. But like Isabella, she needs to change everything else!! She looks way too skank sex kitten and not very fashion at all, but give her the right makeover and she will POP just like Sam did last cycle. I think this girl might be a bit clueless and will have to have everything fed to her, she will need to learn a lot if she wants to make it far. I think she will be cut probably half way for not improving quick enough.

LONDON: LOVE this girl! She has great style, just a really cool looking attitude and you can tell shes into fashion. She looks a bit like the joker type, ala Megg and Amis, she definately reminds me of them. So far, I cant pick up anything negative about her! I dont think Tyra will like her though for some reason haha, just a vibe I get, Tyra never likes the ones I think are really cool. Probably cut half way. Either that or she will be cut at Top 3/4.

NATALIE: She reminds me a lot of Alyce from Aussie Next Top Model Season 4. Hopefully she has the same modelling ability, but a different personality haha, hopefully she isnt a bitchy scrag like Alyce is. I see this girl being really naturally talented at modelling and I think she will make Top 5 AT LEAST, if not Top 3.

NIJAH: Dont like her. She reminds me of Kelle, Cycle 3. I think she will be on of those girls who has all the passion in the world and wants it so bad, but just doesnt have what it takes, she just looks boring. She will be one of the first 4 gone, if not the first.

SANDRA: My fave!!! She will win. I have a feeling. She just looks like she has IT, and we all know that there hasnt been an African American winner since Cycle 9, so it is time for Tyra to pick another!! I hope they dont change her hair, but they ALWAYS change their hair, so that prayer is wasted haha.

TAHLIA: She looks nice. But thats about it. I dunno why she was chosen. I think she probably has a really nice personality, and the judges will keep her around for the first few weeks just coz they like her, but eventually her personality wont make up for her luckluster pictures and lack of progress. She doesnt look like a model at all. Shes 18, yet she looks about 30 with what shes wearing. Just, no.

TEYONA: Im undecided bout this girl. I really like her look, actually, but I think she will be one of those ones who cant do a softer look. I LOVE her eyes, they are very commanding. Its very difficult to pick where she will land I think, it could go either way. But for now, I like her. Possibel house bitch, but I love that haha!

IMDB's Next Top Model Cycle 3, Recap #2 Jan 27, 2009: THIS WEEK ON IMDBs NEXT TOP MODEL!

When contestants returned from their first Judging Panel, they were all talking about their performances, and the performances of others, with Mikiel and Chloe being the hot topics.

CONFESSIONAL- KILLIAN: Of course I let myself down, but it wasn't so much the lackluster pictures that made me feel dissapointed - more like when Bree told me that she knew I had potential and I hadn't used it. It's so frustrating to hear those comments, but simultaneously I think it's a reward to go on another week and be able to build something great and new off of it. It's all about growth with me even now, and I'm determined to impress
CHANTAL: the comments were very nice and being told im 'gorgoues' and 'undeniably beautiful' made my hour (im not going to say day as something else good happend that day haha) and now i can actually understand the term constructive criticism.. before i just thought it meant slagging off but now i see that it actually does help lol. Not blowing my own saxophone, i do really like my shot lol, mikels its just crazy wild. (I don’t like) Killians as its boring, lauren because them trousers are ugly! The car shoot this week was supposed to be a bit judged on the fashion sense... but nobody else except mikel took this to heart as everybody elses clothing was nothing special at all and rather boring. just something that pissed me off lol
CONFESSIONAL- SARA: Mikiel - its just freaking amazinggg. Amaranth - I just feel like it looks creepy.. and that I expected her to be like a real big threat but I don't see it as much now.
CONFESSION- AMARANTH: i think most of the advice was helpful. some of it was a little less constructive and more biased. I wasnt happy with the ones they chose for the frame one. there was a less bland option. (I didn’t like) Chantel, Robbie and Shaq for all of the shoots. They didnt seem like they were trying very hard. Jonny
and chloe (are threats to me) because they are amazing!!!!they have the balance of modelesque and creativity. none of the contestants at the moment are annoying yet. I dotn bodn. Im nice to everyone.
CONFESSIONAL- CHLOE: i disagreed with the comments about chantal jade's fiesta shot i thought it was awesome! I thought it was sassy and cute, showed off her body and had some quirky character. I think she could be the dark horse. sara's shot was really interesting as a photograph, i thought it was a very honest photo. I know everyone loved (Jonny’s frame shot) but I found it a bit overly dramatic and I didn't really find it that appealing

For the second week in a row, Jonny began the week with an argument, when he confronted Ballard about the comments made about him in Ballard’s opinion thread. When SweetTyra intervened with his opinion, things got even more heated.

BALLARD: Well well well! You don't look like Johnny Depp, this picture isn't sexy IMO, and it's definitely not fantastic. The only thing that you did in this picture was reintroduce a bad haircut! THE MULLET! I know you have a very strong personality and a very strong desire to win, but all of that is so beyond pointless, if the presentation isn't worth anything. I have nothing positive to say.

JONNY: First of all, i think you just have a "long hair on guys" phobia. Secondly:

medium hair with bang: *shows picture of girl with medium hair and bangs**
Learn the difference, otherwise you come off as an ass who has no idea what they're talking about

BALLARD: 1. no i don't have a phobia with guys with long hair, i actually like jeraldo with long hair and thought it fit him very well, i just have a problem with guys modeling like girls, i understand using feminimity, but becoming a full blown chick is just to gay for me, personally.
2. eh i know the different, but trust me an ass if far from the worst that i have been called, so it's far, and to me it just had this mullet vibe, it was very mullet vibish. Remember man...grain of salt!

JONNY: Grain of shit maybe. Whatever.

BALLARD: Eww is someone angry? Wow you need to take it down a noch your really like out there...you know?
I think you should relax dude, it's just a game. Don't take it so seriously!

JONNY: i'm sorry, i just find it hard to understand why someone, who has not taken one good "model" shot feels the need to flat out insult people. why don't you take it down a notch and stop judging everyone as if we're actually competing to be signed? it's just a game and you're an asshole. not just to me, but to other people. they may not want to correct your ignorance, but i'm going to be the first one to point it out. deal with it. =]

LUCY(Cycle 2): ballard stop bitching just cause he's the new hot gay guy of the competition and he has way more potential then you ever did...
honestly i see your comments as useless and none of these models should take you seriously, cause if they did...they would end up where you did....eliminated....early....

ANDY: i was really upset with some of the comments you made about the other models last cycle, i mean none of the models deserve that, they are all putting themselves out there and thats so courageous, they dont need you of all people to tell them that they suck.

SWEET TYRA: I understand how people are offended by Ballard's comments, but honestly, I never want him to stop LOL. I agree with Andy that these people who sign up ARE putting themselves out there and good on them for doing so, but it was their choice to sign up and they should be able to deal with/just ignore all the shit that is said about them.
I in no way want the fun to ever be taken out of this competition, but really, Ballard isnt MAKING anyone feel offended, you are all choosing to be offended by him.
A lot of what he says is actual shit, soemtimes rude, sometimes pathetically funny, but if you just sit back and laugh instead of taking his bait, its a lot more enjoyable to read.

JONNY: i'm sorry, but i disagree that people should keep their mouth shut if someone's going to be rude, insulting and ignorant. if minorities didn't stand up for themselves, where would they be? if people want to ignore Ballard for being an asshole, they can, but if you're acting like an asshole and pretending to be much bigger than others, i'm going to say it. why shouldn't i?
And somehow, if Lauren sees that she was told she looks like a tranny, i don't think it's going be enjoyable. if you did your best to dress up, look nice and think you did both well and someone tells you that you look like a steaming pile of shit, are you going to enjoy it? do you enjoy being insulted? it's one thing when it comes from a friend who is saying it out of fun and doesn't really mean it, but from someone who just wants to be rude, it's honestly quite fucking annoying

SWEET TYRA: I'm not saying you have to keep your mouth shut. Defending yourself and biting back at the person who is criticising you are two completely different things. If you turn around to Ballard and insult him, you are pretty much just retaliating and acting the exact same way he does, so I really dont have any sympathy. You are not a "minority", Ballard is just ONE person. You got great reviews from most of the judges and other contestants, so stop playing the helpless victim. For all of you to condemn Ballard for his opinions, as harsh as they can be, is really arrogant

JONNY: hey, i tried reasonably defending myself and all i got back was more bullshit. and who is playing the helpless victim? playing the helpless victim would be "stop being mean, you're making me cry!" i'm flat out telling him he's an asshole and that he has no idea what the fuck he's saying. for the most part, beyond the insults, the critiques aren't all that accurate when describing anything and they're not helpful at all. And i'm not condemning Ballard for his opinions, but i don't see how he insults people, people call him a jerk for insulting people, and then you defend him and criticize everyone else for not being, heaven forbid, entertained by ignorance. But yeah, i'm done with this since the first 3rd of the week's recap is devoted to Jeraldo & i squabbling because we disagreed on something, so i'm going to avoid being made out to be the house bitch. someone else stand up for themselves and get that edit plzkthnx.

JONNY: This just crossed the line from being a bitch into trolling.

SWEET TYRA: Ok, after reading Ballards first post again-
Jonny, the worst thing Ballard said about you was that it looked like you had a mullet. He even gave you a little bit of constructive advice and what do you dish back to him? Telling him hes an ASS just because he doesnt know the difference between two different hairstyles!
And Karasu, Ballard said Lauren looked like THE particular tranny from whatever that was, some show or soemthing? He never said she looked like A tranny! He even said she was prettier!
Its fairly clear to me what is happening. This is no longer about being offended, its about a sick pack mentality where everyone is jumping on the We Hate Ballard Bandwagon just so they feel accepted in a social group. And Im sick of people attacking Ballard for some insignificant little comment he has made. He is just another poster with a variety of opinions and tastes, just like the judges. I am in no way condoning anything absolutely offensive he might say, but reading that first post again, he hasnt even said anything worthy of an attack.
And giving ME attitude when I try to come at this from an objective point of view just to calm you down probably isnt the best idea
I understand Lucy and Jeraldo still holding a grudge because what Ballard used to say could get harsh at times. Emphasis on USED TO SAY.
I didnt find Ballards post THAT offensive and if it WAS offensive to you, then you picked the wrong competition to be a part of and you need to get thicker skin and not be so sensitive and defensive.

MR JANICE: and here i was thinking these people were a bit boring. haha oh, me.

It seemed that Jonny and Karasu were the only two contestants who were bothered by Ballard.

CONFESSIONAL- MIKIEL: I think Ballard is hilarious and has the right to post whatever he wants. Whether it be constructive or not, I really don't care.

CONFESSIONAL- KILLIAN: Ballard complimented me and also gave me advice so it's something to work off of. But while his comments could be considered rude, at the same time people can't be so touchy. It's a modeling competition and people should understand what they're getting themselves into. I wouldn't agree with something downright nasty and voice an opinion over it for sure, but I didn't take either side because to do that would be unwise while I'm still competing.

CONFESSIONAL- CHLOE: I think he is intentionally trying to be a stirrer so I don't really know why people take it so personally. People say bad things about other people all the time. Unless you respect and like the person who has offended you, theres no need to get upset. i guess everyone involved in the bitchfights are a bit dramatic but its kinda amusing nonetheless

CONFESSIONAL- SARA: Ballard is entitled to his own opinion and people just need to deal with it instead of picking easy fights

CONFESSIONAL- SHAQ: I didn't read it, lol. Idk. There's a lot of posting and that's pretty annoying to me. Its like, do they have a life?!

CONFESSIONAL- JONNY: here's how i feel: i'm human. it's not a matter of needing thick skin or "choosing" to be offended or that his rudeness isn't as harsh as before. he intends to be an ass and i can't stand people like that, i think it's just fucking stupid. i got criticism from the judges and it was done in a way that wasn't just plain fucking rude. i think Ballard has the potential to criticize constructively but it's filled with so many attempts to shock people with vulgarity that it's really lame and reminds me of how producers of ANTM prod the contestants for drama.
I don't think there's a Ballard-hating "bandwagon" so much as people are irritated with his attitude and agree. the whole "bandwagon" defense is just an attempt to make us all look like we're getting our panties in a twist over nothing.
So i'm not going to argue with people, no matter how rude they get, because i don't want a bitch edit.

However, that decision did not last long. Later in the week, Jonny and Ballard argued AGAIN when Ballard accused Jonny of being a hypocrite.

JONNY: I look like such a homo in some of the frames.

BALLARD: (quoting Jonny) “I look like such a homo in some of the frames”.
(quoting himself, a statement which Jonny argued with him over) “I understand using femininity, but becoming a full-blown chick is just too gay for me”

JONNY: self-deprecation is not rude. Attacking someone else is. Duh.

KARASU: Yea what he said

JONNY: It's okay to joke around with someone you know, if you're not trying to be mean, which you are.
why don't you take the time to get to know everyone, be friendly and THEN making JOKING comments about them reminding you of a tranny. or be constructive, at least. instead of saying "ugh, it's crap" say "your hand doesn't work there, try daddadadada instead".

If it's not right in one situation because people got all up in arms over me saying men modeling like chicks is gay, then why is it okay when used in a joking situation, it takes away the seriousness of it being wrong that you started bitching over in the first place if your going to joke about it and still use it, then i really don't want to see you two assholes reply on any of my shit ever again if your going to keep acting like that.

Jonny: you have little concept of how the world works.
it's alright amongst friends to joke because they aren't trying to hurt anyone's feelings. i cannot stress that enough. yes, it's politically incorrect, but it isn't a double standard like you're trying to make it out to be.

and if you can dish it out but can't receive it, then maybe you shouldn't be posting it if everyone's "asshole" replies bother you so much.

BALLARD: yeah karasu you are an asshole, i don't fucking care who don't like me no mo, sometimes i hold back when you guys offend me so bad, because im like hey you know what, i say somethings that can hurt people sometimes, so if i dish it i should be able to take it, but the one thing i can't stand is when someone tells me not to do something, or say something, and you turn around and do exactly what you just told me not to do! fuck that, if you don't like it there is plenty of buttons to help you get the fuck over it, there should be nothing in your way from blocking me, NOOOOOOOOOOTHING! and if you want a war, then declare that shit, i won't hide behind my computer.

and i've already said what i think of you and your posts, multiple times, so why are you asking to hear it again? especially since you just whined that you can insult others, but you can't handle what others believe about you.

JONNY: seriously. i try to be nice with Ballard, you can see that in every thread except his "critique" thread, but then he always has to be a jerk. Throughout the week, everyone continued to bond and get to know each other. Many contestants showed us their tattoos and in the process, Chantal made a revelation.

CHANTAL: So does anybody have a tattoo? Lol If so, post them here! *reveals “Princess” tattoo on wrist*.
It didnt hurt me but im used to needles as i have diabetes and inject myself like over 10 times a day

LAUREN: I have 5 of em.

CONFESSIONAL- CHANTAL: when lauren responded 'i have 5 of them' it seemed to me she was making me feel inferiour as i only have one and a bit show-offish…

The house was surprised by a new entry in the form of Apricot Morgan, an alter ego of a previous contestant.

APRICOT: H8 U ALL UR FUCKING CRAP IM SO BEUAITUFL FUCK U FUCK U. I am johnny knoxville's girlfriend

Despite her undeniable beauty and eloquence, she was not allowed into the competition and is not in the running to win.

Lauren made many contestants think about the possibility of a nude shoot, which sparked many different reactions.

SHAQ: Id drop out, for sure. Im 14 for christ sake and this is a game(where we recieve nothing at the end); we shouldnt have to submit nude photos

LAUREN: LOL Im not a pervert. Im just bored.

MIKIEL: Even though I'm only 16, I'd still take a nude photo hehe Clothes is overrated anyway

KILLIAN: I wouldn't. I'd probably drop out if they asked us to do one (which they would never!)

JONNY: nudity is no problem, but i would be editing out anything censor-worthy. :ike.. nude modeling where our private parts are tastefully covered (unlike Sheena's snatchpurse idea). I don't think most of you are legal to post anything other than that. XD

LAUREN: oh god what did i start?

And an official INTM CYCLE 3 mascot was chosen.

SARA: crayfish came up today in school... can you believe that no one knew what it was? they all thought they were called baby lobsters

AVESS(Cycle 1): Aww lol they're so cute! I didn't know how cute they were! I feel bad now for muching on em. AWWW can they be our intm mascot?

SARA: awh omg my god! they totally should! they are really cute, and I don't think I have ever eaten one.

He's the new face of IMDBNTM

The conversation then turned to the brand of shoe, Crocs, and Karasu revealed a rather strange phobia.

AVESS: omg, they're disgusting, they look like dolly shoes! Why do they have holes! WHY!!

KARASU: Holes freak me out. Just holes that are grouped together like when you see those nasty holes in trees . I wanna puke when i see them lol

AVESS: HOLES IN TREES? Ahahahah wtf.

Judging Panel finally arrived, where the models were evaluated for their 80s Workout shoot, from Canada’s NTM Cycle 1. Chloe was voted CoverModel of the week for her Frame shoot.

Once again, Mikiel received rave reviews for his picture and was commended for his versatility. Lauren made a surprise leap to the top of the pack with her energetic picture and Karasu continued to impress with his natural ability. Once again, Amaranth, Chantal and Sara floated in the middle of the pack, creating good pictures, but nothing that amazed. After his Bottom 4 appearance last week, Killian knew he had to step it up. The effort was there, but the judges were still concerned about his facial control, which left him looking “slightly special”, as SweetTyra said. Two of last wek’s frontfunners, Jonny and Chloe both took a dramatic slip to the bottom of the pack with their uncomfortable looking pictures. Jonny once again was criticised for not knowing what to do with his limbs and Chloe didn’t fit the brief for the second week in a row, making the judges doubt that she is taking the competition seriously. In the end, it was Robbie and Shaq who landed in the bottom two for not showing the right emotions and for not giving the right mood to the picture. When the callout order was posted, Sara was accidentally left off the list. This worried the judges, as they thought Sara might be forgettable and isnt having the impact she should be on the judges, even though her pictures are good. In the end, Robbie was saved due to his creativity and Shaq was eliminated.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT WEEK?!?!
WILL JONNY CONTINUE ARGUING?
WILL ROBBIE AND CHLOE CLIMB BACK FROM THE BOTTOM?
AND WILL ANYONE REMEMBER WHO SARA IS?!?!?!?!

Before the competition even officially began, one of our new contestants was already making enemies. Jonny put himself in hot water with Cycle 2 Runner-Up Jeraldo when they got into a heated discussion about smoking:

JONNY: it's so annoying how people have double standards for everything. i'm sure there's something you do that's unhealthy for you and you probably do at least one thing that has a negative effect on those around you, but i'm not going to come down on you about it.

JERALDO: Yes we all are royally frrrrkng over the environment, so does that mean we should frrrrk it as hard as we can? No.
It's not the same thing. Automobiles are pretty much a necessity to exist in this world, tobacco is a complete leisure item. To wipe out the problem that are cars would be to eliminate the access people have to their places of employment, and chaos would ensue. The only way to instantly fix that pollution would be to surgicly implant titanium legs to each persons torso and have them run on batteries.
Seeing as how that's not really an option and for people to just stop smoking is a totally viable option and choice it is so very much two different things.

JONNY: Smoking is my right and you can try to shove in my face how everyone around me has to deal with it, but i don't give a damn. Smoking is hurting me and me alone. i don't do it in public and i haven't hurt anyone with my second-hand smoke.

JERALDO: You don't think it disipates into the wind, the atmosphere, down the street to your neighbors?
There's absolutly no possibly way to not produce second-hand smoke that isn't harmful.
So I'm calling BS on that.

The models moved into the new "house" and immediately started bonding over their favourite movies, music and books. Talk quickly turned to predictions. Mikiel, Karasu, Amaranth and Jonny were pegged as the top competition, while Killian, Shaq, Jasanee(Jazz) and Sara weren't considered threats.

Killian, Shaq and Mikiel raised concerns about their places in the competition, doubting their ability.

Jonny revealed his crush on one of the straightest guys in the house, Karasu, and Sara began having issues with her memory.

When Jazz finally entered the "house" many days late, she entered with a bang and a sarcastic comment from Chloe offended some.

JAZZ:IM HERE KNOW! I'M GONNA BE ACTIVE SO SEE I'M HERE N NAW I AINT GONNA DROP OUT!

CHLOE: Your use of caps lock is endearing.

KARASU: Was that comment necessary? I hate when people rag on others just because they use chatspeak on the internet.

JAZZ: OK WHATS WRONG WITH USING CAPS IT DONT MATTER IT'S NOT YOU SO YOU SHOULD'NT BE WORRIED ABOUT ME OK? AND AWWW THANK YOU

KARASU: You could've just said not to use cap locks instead of being sarcastic about it.

CHLOE: Lol wow i was just joking.

Everyone was excited whent he first TWO photoshoots were assigned and the theme of the cyce was also revealed- Every photoshoot in Cycle 3 will be photoshoots taken from NEXT TOP MODEL franchises of the world!!!

For their first shoot, the models had to pose inside a picture frame whilst showing off their personal style and personality. It was an edited version of the "Couture Portraits" shoot from Phillipine's Next Top Model.

Their second shoot was an editorial shoot with a car, the "Ford Fiesta" shoot from Cycle 3 of Australia's NTM. For this shoot, they had to look frickin cool standing with a car and show off what they thought to be good fashion sense.

At judging panel, the judges were revealed-

Bree, winner of Cycle 2.
Cozy, Runner-Up of Cycle 1.
Mark(Firebolt)
AndyStern(nextflyestish)
Mr. Janice (nigelicious)
Kazara, winner of Cycle 1.
And of course, me! The fiercest in the land!

Mikiel, Jonny and Chloe were commended for their creativity. The judges were underwhelmed by the "bland" pictures of Amaranth, a pre-show favourite to win. The judges though Lauren and Chantal put in good effort, but all agreed there was soemthing missing from their shoots. Karasu and Robbie both had an amazing picture, which were unofrtunately upstaged by their other bad photos. While the judges liked Sara, she proved to be forgettable for some judges and Killian landed in every single judges' bottom three for his lacklustre photographs. Jazz failed to submit any photos and was eliminated by default. Kendra landed in the bottom two for not submitting her Fiesta shoot, and Shaq joined her there for having photographs that were either too dark or too small to appreciate.

Passion was chosen over beauty, and Kendra was eliminated, allowing Shaq to live another week.
