Would any be opposed to re-starting this. I would not have time to do it until January and I don't know how much time Bingo21 has but I really want it re-started. Id say it might be better to get a whole group of hosts to work on it this time so that if one is busy during a certain month production won't slow down.
The TOGA's was a monthly award show. For a whole month anyone could nominate a season of a group game for different categories ("Best Survivor", "Best Big Brother", "Best Overall Group", "Best Up and Coming", etc.), and then at the end of the month a jury would decide the final nominees of the ones nominated by the public, and also decide a winner. Nominating and judging your own series was of course not allowed. At the end of each month there would be a live-show where the winners were announced. After that, the TOGAs were open for nominations by the public again.
gaiaphage I really want to see if we can get bingo21 at leas helping behind the scenes. I mean it will never be the same but it would be nice to have something back in the commuinty.

I think that there were some flaws with them... The picking process (you basically needed to promote it in order for somebody to recommend it) was the main issue.. also every month is a bit much. Maybe every quarter (3 months?) would be better.
Hosts should register their seasons/players if they think they are in the running. Also players should be able to recommend themselves/other players, and then there'd have to be so me interview/poll that would go out
manalord, leli14, themissinglink, Gaiaphage, wangifold, nbkiller More than willing to help out with this but not with the annoying parts (mailing a thousand people and chasing up scores). I've wanted to get them back up and running and have been approached by a few people but it generally ends up being the same issue of people not pulling their weight with judging and leaving all the heavy lifting to me.
If you don't have them every month though then groups have expired ages ago and its difficult to compare the contenders.
bingo21 @leli themissinglinkwangifoldnbkiller i think us as a group can really get this all done easily without much addtional effort put on anyone espically if we made one group for the awards and one for us to all place everything we have the month so anyone can get it easily. :P
I was thinking maybe as soon as one of us sees someone finishing a season of a group, we put them on a list, so instead of having people nominate groups we just register them immediately and then people can, instead of nominating, recommend a group to be put on the final list of nominees and say why they think the season should be. Then us, who are helping out with the Togas, then take all comments into consideration and then all decide who the final set of noms should be (by all of us scoring them or whatever).
Gaiaphage I agree about what you said about Bingo. In an ideal scenario Bingo would still have time to do them each month, but we all have things to do irl, and I think this where everyone helps is better than the TOGAs just staying dead :)
manalordbingo21 - I'll be happy to PM people and/or collect all judges scores. I dont want to host it, because I'm probably the least experienced here when it comes to live events lol. But maybe you two could do that? :)
