The user, owlboned, goes down a more twisted route, telling users that she was hacked. Fun? Yes, I like the whole "hacked" idea, but it is VERY difficult to successfully pull off. Believable? Never in a million years. There are just too many plot holes that weren't patched up. It seemed a clever ploy on paper, but really- what are the odds of someone hacking her account? And if they did, it would be her fault since she would've had to given that person her password. So, major points deducted because I simply don't buy it.
I did cut her a bit of slack though, because I liked the premise. This was a lot more unique than the typical "accidentally logged on through my phone #oops" tactic. That style is a bit overused these days. It is definitely a classic, and one of my favorites, but it is just starting to become dry after countless users have tried it out. I appreciate that owlboned tried to do something new with this one, but the execution was stale and underwhelming. I would've hoped for a bit more, but hey: I'm just grateful to see another "accidental return." It's one of my favorite parts of Tengaged.
