Julian stumbles through the brush of the tree quickly and hastily. He trips over a bush and falls face flat outside of the forest. There he finds that the temperature has increased significantly and that the ground under his hands, isn't dirt, its now turned into sand. He stands up and walks back into the forest and feels it get much cooler and then he jumps back out into the desert and feels the heat on his back.
"Pretty crazy, eh?" A voice says behind Julian. Julian jumps and grabs his knife out of his pocket and turns around to swing. Sharkeisha stands behind him and she quickly dodges him. She grabs his arms and twists it to the side.
"Agh!" Julian screams.
"Hey, I'm not here to hurt you," Sharkeisha whispers into his ear, "I want to work together. I'm gonna let go now and I hope we can get past this." Sharkeisha lets go of his arm and Julian immediately bolts away through the brush of the trees and forestation. After a minute she can hear a grunt, supposedly meaning that Julian tripped over himself again. She sighs to herself and walks the opposite direction of Julian.
Daniel and Essence trudge through the forest, eventually reaching the end of it and finding a mountainous region. Daniel leads the way.
"Where are we going?" Essence asks.
"The edge of the arena, the force field. It'll give us an upper hand." Daniel says. The two continue through the area.
"May I ask something?" Essence says.
"Go for it." Daniel replies.
"What did you mean when you said you knew 'how it felt' when I was crying?" Essence asks. Daniel pauses for a moment.
"It was because...my sister was in the Hunger Games a few years ago. I was only fourteen at the time, but I saw everything. She made it so far. I had so much hope for her. She had actually gotten a few kills because she was doing what I want to do. She used the force-field to her advantage." Daniel says.
"If you don't mind me asking, it might get my mind off Chris, what had happened to your sister?" Essence asks.
"She didn't win, she was killed by a District 2 male in the final four. The force-field began to shrink and she was forced out in the open. And then..." By this time Daniel had tears in his eyes and he began to broke down. He sat down on a rock and wipes his eyes. Essence begins to walk towards him to comfort him when she feels a pair of hands grip around her neck and pull her away. She struggles to pry the hands off of her neck and Daniel doesn't seem to notice. Essence tries to call for him but she can't breathe. Essence makes one last attempt as she lifts her elbow up and jabs it into her attacker. She feels the hands get loose and she slips out of them.
"Agh!" Ali, the girl from 10, says holding her stomach. Daniel turns around and grabs his dagger and holds it up.
"So its a fight you want? Well lets tussle." Ali says. Ali lunges at Daniel, tackling him to the ground and making Daniel drop his dagger on the ground. The dagger spins towards the edge of the rock formation, threatening to fall 50 feet to the ground. Essence dives for the dagger and grabs it, but only putting herself in danger as well. Ali and Daniel wrestle with each other on the ground, taking turns on being in the dominate position. Daniel throws a punch at Ali and sends her spiraling off of him. Daniel gets another punch on Ali and gives her a kick and Ali flies back towards the edge of the cliff, and towards Essence.
"Fuck!" Essence screams as Ali hits her body and she goes barreling towards the open air off the side of the cliff. Daniel reacts quickly to his mistake and grabs Essence's hand as she watches Ali fall past her towards the ground.
BOOM!
"What were you doing by the edge of the cliff?" Daniel says.
"I was getting this..." Essence says weakly as she holds up the tiny dagger.
Luca walks past the forest and into a large grassland, alone. He walks through the tall grass, looking for any side of food he can. Suddenly a small snake wiggles towards him, its fangs showing. As it gets close, Luca lifts up his sword and swings it down on its head. The snake wiggles violently for a minute until it lies still. Luca picks it up and smiles at his work. He looks up and across the grassland are two very large lions, a male and a female.
"Shit," Luca whispers to himself as he ducks down, using the grass as protection. He slowly begins to move backwards on his hands and knees towards the forest. Suddenly, the snake he had killed begins to squirm again and it falls out of his hands and into the grass. It begins to thrash causing noise.
Luca quickly grabs the snake, making sure it doesn't move anymore. He looks up to check on the lion and finds the male lion standing right in front of him. The lions pounces on Luca to which Luca tumbles out of the way. He reaches for his sword but he has dropped it when he rolled away. He grabs his knife and jumps onto the lion, stabbing his back. The lion shakes Luca off and Luca grabs his sword from under him. Luca quickly lifts up his sword and brings it down on the lions head, making a large indent and killing the lion.
He turns around satisfied, but again in front of him is the angry female lion. She jumps onto Luca and chomps down onto Luca's arm. She wiggles it and throws his entire body. Luca hits a tree and all of the wind is knocked out of him. Luca finds it now hard to breathe and his sword is out of reach. The lioness slowly walks up to Luca, and it almost looked like she was smiling. She pounces on Luca and ends his life.
BOOM!
Tanner sits upon a tall tree, holding a rock that he had sharpen into a small blade. He looks down at what he had created. He had set up a small tent and a fire, to attract tributes and once they began to look for whoever created the fire, he would jump down from the tree and kill them.
Mykel then walks into his point of view, first checking out the tent. Tanner gets ready to jump, but Mykel isn't close enough to get a clean kill. Mykel then retreats inside of the tent to get a look. Tanner steps out a bit farther and then the branch snaps. Tanner holds on to the edge of the branch and pulls himself up and hides himself within the leaves just as Mykel comes out of the tent. She goes to examine to fallen branch and Tanner uses this moment to jump down and kill Mykel on impact.
Timmy and Maxine sit in the forest around a campfire, cooking a fox they had killed.
"So, what was your life like before the games?" Timmy asks.
"Well uhm pretty boring," Maxine chuckles, "Just a normal District 11 girl life. What about you?"
"Same thing I would say." Timmy says "Hey did you ever have a boyfriend back in District 11?"
"Nope," Maxine says, "Did you ever have a girlfriend?" Maxine asks.
"Nope." Timmy replies. Timmy stares at his feet. "Do you wanna like, be boyfriend-girlfriend?" Timmy asks. "I didn't mean that so awkwardly but you know, how we're probably going to die and all..."
Timmy looks up and his mouth is met with Maxine's. The two share a kiss for a minute and then pull away. Timmy looks awestruck but has a smile on his face. Maxine pulls back her hair and says "So is the fox cooked yet?"
Kylie and Caitlin sit together in a large tropical rainforest. They sit at the base of a large tree.
"I'm going to collect some nuts, watch my back," Caitlin says as she begins to climb the large tree. Caitlin smirks to herself as she sees a trackerjacker nest above where Kylie was sitting. She begins to climb towards the top of the tree. She walks out onto a branch below the trackerjacker nest branch as she plans on breaking the branch to drop it onto Kylie. She walks out two feet when the branch snaps and she falls 15 feet. As she hits the ground she hears another snap.
It was her leg.
"Fuck!" Caitlin screams.
"Oh my god Caitlin are you okay?" Kylie says, looking at her leg. Caitlin takes a deep breath.
"Yea-hh...I'm fine." Caitlin says, "Can we just camp here for a while?"
Kylie nods perkily.
The District 5 and District 7 tributes stand in the brush of the forest, overlooking the cornucopia and the career tributes.
"We should attack right now. They'll never expect it," Jawanda says.
"Relax, we can wait until they fall asleep." Gabriel says.
The fourth career tribute finally lays down and falls asleep. 'Stupid for all of them to fall asleep' Gabriel thinks to himself.
"Okay, Me and Jawanda will go kill them, Maddalyn you stay here and protect Eric." Eric and Maddalyn nod while Jawanda takes out her Machete. The two slowly tiptoe down the beach and dip themselves into the water.
Kris gets up out of his bed as the other three lay sleeping. He tiptoes deeper intot he cornucopia to grab a sword that they had stockpiled. He walks over to one of the sleeping tributes, Tree. He lifts up his sword and gets ready to swing down on Tree's head when two people come into his view. Jawanda holds her machete ready to attack Kris, while Gabriel holds a spear.
'What are you doing?' Gabriel mouths to Kris.
'Killing them.' Kris mouths, 'I never liked them'
Gabriel smiles.
'Let us help,' Gabriel mouths back. Kris nods and Gabriel positions himself to kill Nick while Jawanda stands above Susu. Gabriel counts down. 3...2...1... Gabriel sinks his spear into Nick's head.
BOOM!
Kris slits Tree's throat.
BOOM!
Susu dodges Jawanda's swing as she was awake the whole time as well. Susu grabs the dagger from her belt and jams it into Jawanda's throat. Jawanda falls to the ground her own blood.
BOOM!
Then Gabriel charges at Susu. Susu knocks the spear from his hand and kicks him to the ground. Susu looks at Jawanda's dead body, then Gabriel sprawled out on the floor, and then back at Kris.
"You made a mistake Kris," Susu says as she jumps into the water and swims away.
