So, I have a cousin in 11th grade. He has a form of autism that gives him a form of mental handicap. The last two years or so, the high school has been really tough for him and it's upsetting me. I saw him today and he told me about it.
For the last couple years or so people have been throwing money at him. Small change... just to see him pick it up. And of course he does. In my opinion, if these kids are that stupid to throw it, then they deserve to lose it. But it's my cousin that gets in trouble for it.
He also told me today that people cut in front of him in the lunch line all the time. He says something about it. Like "Hey I was here first". They respond to him by saying "Screw you retard" or something similar. The teachers and aides know about it but don't do anything about it.
He told me about a recent incident where this kid came up to him and gave him a quarter when he was outside during lunch. My cousin dropped it and picked it back up. This other kid then said "Give me back my quarter." and my cousin said "No you gave it to me."... the kid said again "Give me back my freaking quarter." and my cousin kept saying no and then he walked away. As he was trying to go back inside a huge crowd gathered around the door, so he was having a hard time getting back inside. Some of the people made comments such as "fight retard fight". :( Luckily he didn't fight. He IS over 6 foot though, so they probably should shut up. lol
I have more to say on this but i've typed enough for now... more later. :(
:( thats shocking...prejudice and discrimination against disabled or people with learning discrimination angers me very much. I think one day these swines will be bitten back in the asshole for it though, and your couin will emerge laughing...I'm a firm believer in karma.
+_+_+
My brother has autism and although it isn't severe he is very nervous and people have mocked him in the past and when they do it fucks me off so much. Some people are just heartless bitches fair and square, and teachers are the worst! Best thing to do is for his parents to go into the school and lay out the rules and tell them how it is, otherwise they will just keep turning a blind eye.
