Random Survivor: The Australian Outback

Jan 9, 2017 by survivornerd
This is a blog series where I take a season of Survivor and randomize the boot order and the votes and try to build a narrative as I go.

16th: The Ogakor tribe lost the first immunity and was sent to tribal council. The groupings within the tribe were apparent. There was the friendship between Tina and Keith, the group of hard workers, Kel, Colby, and Mad Dog, and the group of the young kids, Mitchell, Jerri, and Amber. These exact groups all happened to vote with each other. Since Tina was to blame for the tribe's loss, the younger alliance all voted for her, but the hard workers all voted for Mitchell who wasn't as hard a worker and didn't contribute physically, while the duo of Keith and Tina voted for Jerri, who was constantly budding heads with Keith. This put the vote at a 3-3-2 tie, meaning there'd be a revote between Tina and Mitchell. The hard workers alliance all stuck to their original vote, Keith obviously flipped, since Tina was his closest ally, and since Jerri and Amber didn't want to alienate themselves from the rest of the tribe, they also flipped on Mitchell and voted him out, 6-0.

15th: Ogakor lost yet another challenge, sending them to tribal council for the second time in a row. Tina again struggled in the challenge, but Amber was no help at camp. This left Kel, Mad Dog, and Colby in the middle of the vote. But, at the end they decided that Amber was a bigger waste of space, so they voted her out, 5-2.

14th: Ogakor was again humiliated by Kucha, sending them back to tribal council. Jerri realized she was at the bottom, so she realized she needed to do some major scrambling. She figured working with the duo of Keith and Tina was a lost cause, so she went to the other 3. Kel seemed unresponsive when she wanted to work with him, so she crossed him off the list. She talked Colby and Mad Dog into an alliance by convincing them that they were the hardest workers around camp and that Kel was keeping beef jerky to chew on. Mad Dog seemed upset by this, so she, Colby, and Jerri all decided to vote for Kel. Since Jerri knew that she had more votes than Kel, she and Colby came up with a plan for Colby to be overly obnoxious at camp so the votes would fall on him. They did this, and it worked to perfection, so at tribal council the votes fell 3 for Kel, 3 for Colby. Since Tina and Keith didn't want to alienate themselves from the tribe since it seemed pretty set that Jerri and Mad Dog were voting Kel again, they both flipped on Kel, sending him home 4-0.

13th: For the fourth straight time, Ogakor was again sent to tribal council. Colby and Jerri fought over who they thought should go home. Jerri wanted Keith gone for personal reasons, but Colby wanted Mad Dog gone to strengthen the tribe, even though she was apart of the majority alliance. Colby went to both Keith and Tina and tried talking them into voting Mad Dog out. This inspired Tina to go get Mad Dog and rat Colby out, in an attempt to sway her to their side. Mad Dog got very upset, and they all decided to vote Colby out for being so obnoxious. Jerri and Colby, oblivious to what was happening, voted for Mad Dog. In a 3-2 blindside, Colby was voted out.

12th: Continuing the beatdown, Kucha took him yet another immunity sending Ogakor to their fifth tribal council. At camp, the feud between Keith and Jerri came to a boiling point. Tina and Mad Dog knew that they had to vote out one or the other soon. Tina wanted to keep Keith around since he was a close ally, but Mad Dog wanted to keep Jerri around since she was very savvy and could help them once the merge hit, and she'd also serve them better in challenges. In the end, Tina succumbed to Mad Dog and they voted Keith out 3-1.

11th: At the final tribal immunity of the season, Kucha continued their slaughter and sent Ogakor back to tribal council one last time. Mad Dog thought that Tina was with her 100%, but Tina wasn't sure. Jerri wanted Mad Dog gone because she got along better with Tina, and when tribal council came around, Tina turned on Mad Dog because Jerri was a bigger target than her, sending Mad Dog home 2-1.

10th: At the very first individual immunity of the season, Jeff managed to win. With this being their first tribal council, the Kucha tribe was ready to finally get rid of somebody. Alicia and Jeff felt like they were on top of the tribe. They had an alliance with Kimmi and Debb, two easy goats. On the other side of the equation, there was Rodger, Elisabeth, Skupin, and Nick who all stuck together because they liked each other. After they saw Jeff trying to coax the Ogakors into their clique, this upset Skupin and he wanted to take Jeff out, but since he had immunity, he went for the next best thing: Alicia. This left Tina and Jerri in the middle, a position they really wanted to be in. Tina and Jerri both felt it was an easy decision however, and flipped to the alliance of Jeff, Debb, Kimmi, and Alicia to take out Nick, sending him home over Alicia 6-4.

9th: At the second individual immunity challenge, Tina won immunity. After the tribal council, Skupin, Rodger, and Elisabeth went to Jeff and Alicia out of desperation, and tried to get them to get rid of an Ogakor next. Jeff, Alicia, Kimmi, and Debb were in conflict over what they should do. But, Kimmi and Debb were in conflict the most. Kimmi thought that they should turn on Tina and Jerri, but Debb thought that was immoral. So immoral, in fact, that she went to Tina and Jerri and ratted Kimmi out. This caused Tina and Jerri to go to Skupin, Rodger, and Elisabeth to get them to vote Kimmi out. Then, to further this wild game of telephone between alliances, Skupin, Rodger, and Elisabeth then went to Kimmi, Jeff, and Alicia and told them what happened. This made it an easy decision for Jeff and Alicia, and all of the original Kucha with the exception of Debb voted for Jerri, whilst Debb, Jerri, and Tina all voted for Kimmi, sending Jerri home in a vote of 6-3.

8th: At the third individual immunity challenge, Alicia won. Jeff and Alicia decided that Rodger and Elisabeth were getting too close. So they easily got Tina and Debb, who were desperate for an alliance to vote with them for one of the two. Skupin soon jumped on this bandwagon, because although he was a man of his word, he couldn't isolate himself from the rest of the group. Obviously Skupin let them know so they wouldn't be blindsided. This caused Rodger and Elisabeth to sadden. They knew it was going to be one of them, and Rodger asked everyone to vote for him. He threw his vote towards Elisabeth, and Elisabeth threw her vote towards Rodger. The tribe decided to respect Rodger's wishes, and they voted him out 7-1.

7th: At the fourth individual immunity challenge, Elisabeth won immunity. However, in an ironic twist of fate, Elisabeth fell ill and had to be pulled from the game.

6th: At the fifth individual immunity challenge, Tina won immunity. Back at camp, since she was in a power position, Kimmi got a big head and didn't contribute much around camp. This pissed off hard working Alicia, who finally got in her face about it. Kimmi flipped out, and they got into a fight. Alicia and Kimmi obviously began to gun for each other. Since Jeff was always sticking with Alicia, this left Skupin, Debb, and Tina in the middle. They all decided it was best to let Kimmi go since everyone was sick of her attitude, voting her out 5-1.

5th: At the final five immunity challenge, Debb managed to win her first immunity. Jeff decided that he and Alicia were sharing credit for most of the moves made, and he decided that it'd be best to stab her in the back. Jeff told Tina about this plan, as well as Skupin, but he withheld the information from Debb since he knew she was a rat. However, he was too trusting as although Skupin was desperate for an alliance since he was alone, Tina saw this as a perfect oppurtunity to turn them against each other even further. She went to Alicia and told her Jeff's plan, shocking her and making her confront Jeff. Jeff just denied it further and further, although they both knew what Jeff was doing. Tina decided that Jeff had already burnt several bridges she'd side with him and take out the bigger threat in Alicia. Skupin did as well, but Debb thought that Jeff turning on Alicia was wrong, so she sided with her. But it wasn't enough, as Alicia was voted out 3-2.

4th: At the final 4 immunity challenge Skupin won a much needed immunity. Back at camp, Tina promised Jeff a final 2 since Jeff figured his best chance would be against Tina, and Tina figured since Jeff had turned his back on so many people, he'd be the perfect person to bring to the end. So obviously the only person they could put votes on would be Debb. Debb decided that Jeff would be the person to go, but Skupin argued that Tina would be a better choice. Ultimately Debb was too stubborn to flip, and it was her demise as she was sent home 2-1-1.

3rd: At the final immunity challenge, Jeff won immunity. Jeff had a final two with Tina, but he was having second thoughts. Although most of his Kucha tribemates were on the jury and weren't able to bond with Tina as much as him, maybe that meant that they were more hurt by him voting them out. Plus, Tina had an underdog arch that he thought the jury would appreciate more. At tribal council, he decided to stab his ally in the back one last time and sent Tina home, 1-0.

2nd/1st: Jeff and Skupin were forced to face the jury.

Jerri respected Jeff's cutthroat game and voted for him.
Rodger voted for his ally Skupin.
Elisabeth voted for her ally Skupin.
Kimmi voted for Skupin because of her rivalry with Alicia, and Jeff was guilty by association.
Alicia voted for Skupin because she felt betrayed by Jeff.
Debb voted for Skupin because she hated Jeff and his devious gameplay.
Tina voted for Jeff, because although he turned his back on her, she appreciated his big moves.

By a vote of 5-2, Michael Skupin is the winner of Survivor: The Australian Outback!

NOTE: I didn't anticipate that insane premerge... or that winner.... but I liked how this turned out.
