Lady Gaga – I don’t know why you chose Starstruck if I’m absolutely honest, it doesn’t really show you off as an artist and it was quite dull actually. Thankfully you’ve got two songs this night, and you absolutely pulled it back with Telephone. A brilliant duet and you’ve certainly redeemed yourself in my eyes with that absolute floorfiller!
Rihanna – Love, love, love Pon de Replay. For me this is one of my absolute favourite Rihanna songs and I was glad to finally hear it, however, Rudeboy is probably my absolute least favourite Rihanna song. It’s vulgar and at times disgusting in my opinion.
Elisa – I thought your first song choice was incredible. I loved the vocal and could easily find myself listening to this over and over again. I have to say, I think I actually preferred your second song! I loved this. Had undertones of the Cranberries, which could only be a good thing. If Judge’s Choice was active, I would pick you this night.
Alicia Keys – I love the way you’ve shown light and shade with your song choices. A Woman’s Worth, probably one of the first Alicia songs I knew, and I loved it then and the love remains. Empire State of Mind is simply amazing on every possible level. I adored it in it’s entirety!
Taylor Swift – I wasn’t overly crazy about your first song – however I loved the last minute and a half or so, but you completely changed by the second song. A brilliant song choice on your part and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
