Condragulations ladies on being selected to participate in Tengaged‘s Drag Race 8! The search for Tengaged’s Next Drag Superstar has officially begun, and soon we will begin to find who has the Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve, and Talent necessary to come out on top.
A drag queen’s best friend is the song she performs to. Whether you’re a look queen, a comedy queen, or just straight-up crazy, music plays a vital role in your drag persona. For your first challenge, you will be creating a runway look inspired by one of the biggest music videos from the past two decades. You could be inspired by the fashion, the lyrics, or just try to make us laugh! Regardless, make sure you show off what makes you different, and how you can outshine the others
Below is a link to a playlist which features twenty music videos - one for every year since 1995. It’s up to you how you decide to interpret these videos in your look this week. It’s okay if more than one person chooses the same song, just make sure you stand out. There’s also an image with the list of songs below.
In addition to your runway look this week, all of you will create a lip-sync look to “Slumber Party” by Britney Spears ft. Tinashe which you will need to submit to either me or Robert each round.
To make things clear, you are free to re-submit your challenge whenever you want. Just make sure you’ve submitted before the deadline or face the consequences!
Oh and one other thing. You may have noticed the emphasis on being on top. That’s because this season, we’re switching things up. In Season 8, instead of the bottom two Lip-syncing For Their Lives, the Top Two queens will Lip-Sync For Their Legacy. The winner being rewarded not only the challenge win, but the power to eliminate one of the bottom two queens of the week. Therefore, in addition to the challenge and lip-sync, you will need to send a preference list to me or Robert, ranking your fellow queens from who you want to eliminate from the Most to the Least.
This challenge will be due on Sunday, December 11th, 2016 11:59pm EST. You may ask for an extension if necessary, but they will not always be granted.
