She was recently employed as the assistant for a lawyer, but was fired for the way she treated her female employees, as she was well-known for sabotaging and using her sexual apppeal to her advantage to get perks.
April originally majored in talent mangement in college, and worked to get her MBA. It is through these experiences and an internship early in graduate school she got to manage and represent small talents around her college.
Recently beginning the proceedings for a divorce. She and her husband became estranged following her multiple string of affairs at her law firm, and her desperate need to come out on top in the workplace, which caused her to come home less often.
She has one child, a son - of whom currently resides with his father (her soon-to-be ex-husband.)

April Leigh Lopez is a woman with a thirst to be on top. Growing up in an impoverished rural community, she rised among her eight other siblings to become the first in her family to graduate from college, and in her case, the next step was a MBA. She finished at the top of her class, although she was noted for having a "Type-A" personality by her professors. She soon moved to the city of San Francisco, cutting off connections with her family, due to her new high status job and life. At this law firm, she became involved in one high profile extramarital affair, one that she used to her benefit, resulting in the terminations and pitfalls of many of the employees at the firm. Not to mention, she found herself rising in the ranks, obviously not entirely through her own merit. Once her lover was found out and fired, she found herself also in hot water.
