I dont understand why she gave prim the pin?

That was the mayor's daughter giving it to Katniss. they did make it look weird.

I wish they kept it like that. I mean before the Games, other than Gale, she was the only person that was like a friend to Katniss. Her death would have been sad to see. It's all part of the story but I guess they wanted it to the the sister thing blah blah blah.
