Here at Ellingston, we have on of the most beautiful Campuses in the world. The green grass and pristine buildings are only a reflection of our lovely community of Faculty and Students. There are many different areas of our Campus and they are all indicated below.

ACADEMIC BUILDINGS

The heart and soul of scholarship in Ellingston resides in these academic buildings. Classes, lectures, and symposiums take place within these structures, and hundreds of thousands of students and faculty alike have passed through their doors since the year of the university's founding. Their are over 13 Academic buildings on Campus, available to all students.

FOOD & DRINK

Everyday Cafe: The Everyday Cafe, or EVK, is a small, local gourmet sandwich shop that is situated in the Ellingston Sciences Faciilty. Students like the Everyday Cafe since they can grab a quick meal before class, or find it a peaceful place to study before an exam. Professors also enjoy frequenting the cafe, and is often a popular spot for professors to have their office hours.

Student Union Market: The Student Market is a large food court within the Student Union Building. Restaurants include Chipotle, Chik-Fil-A, Panda Express, Cookout, Zaxby’s, and Jamba Juice. It’s a favorite spot to hang out with fellow students, get a quick bite to eat, and study.

Pearson Dining Hall: Pearson is the largest dining hall on campus, offering seating for 500 students at once. The eating area is very open and spacious, with a second, floor overlooking the main dining area that doubles as a study space. When the dining hall is closed, it doubles as a study hall, but only for residents of Pearson Residential College.

LITERATURE

Moreau Library: The Elias H. Moreau University Library is a monolithic, multi-story structure with levels far into the basement, and a masterpiece of Georgian architecture. Quiet reading rooms are on every floor for students to use, and on the ground floor is a small cafe for those who need to recharge after hours of poring over texts. The library is home to well over 4.5 million volumes

RECREATIONAL SPACES

Student Life Building: The Howard Verne Student Life Building was a generous donation for the creation of a fully operational fitness facility for the Ellingston University campus. This building has a full three-level workout room of treadmills, fixed weights and free weights, a sizeable pool, racquetball and basketball courts, and a rock climbing wall. Other resources for students can be found in the building, mainly the school pharmacy and clinic.

The Marina: At the foot of Ellingston's campus is Falls Lake, a North Carolina state park reserve. The state government has permitted the university to build a marina for its students to enjoy kayaking or sailing on its beautiful waters.

SPORTS STADIUMS

Ellingston Memorial Football Stadium: The Ellingston Memorial Football Stadium is situated a few miles away from campus, closer to the Raleigh proper. This stadium has room for approximately 25,000 occupants, and usually, reaches full capacity during key events such as Homecoming and Ellingston versus Wake Forest games.

Winston Center: The Atlantic Coast Conference can be known for only one thing - basketball. It is tough to stand against teams like Duke and the dynasty of Coach Krzyzewski, but Ellingston's basketball team has been gaining ground over the past few seasons. The Winston Center is the home for the university's basketball team, as well as a winning volleyball team. This facility has capacity for 20,000 occupants, although most of the time Duke students tend to overtake the space.

Harper Fields: Harper Fields is the name for the collective courts, outdoor arenas and fields dedicated to Ellingston's historied sports programs, donated by William H. Harper, '63. Baseball and softball have their respective fields, and adjacent to them is the tennis complex, and then the soccer field, which the lacrosse teams share.

Gallagher Aquatics Center: Callum Gallagher swam for Ellingston as a student, and eventually went on to swim in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics where he won gold in the 100m freestyle and 4x100m relay. After a successful career and making millions in sports endorsement contracts, Gallagher returned to his alma mater to provide a large donation for a new aquatics center. Today, Ellingston's water polo and swimming teams practice in this large, modern gymnasium.

CAROLINA ROW

Greek Row: A short walk away from the southwest corner of the Campus, lies Greek Row, a neighborhood of 4 fraternities and sororities. Many of these houses are well-established as a result of alumni pouring money into the maintenance and renovation of the homes as the fraternities have grown over time. In wake of other universities, the party scene at Ellingston is relatively tame. Even so, you can hear the raucous noises coming from certain houses and the ringing of sirens not too long after.

STUDENT HOUSING

Off Campus Residence: Most upperclassmen choose to live off-grounds in an effort to assert their independence and prepare for the real world beyond college. The real estate surrounding Ellingston has made it particularly suitable for students to find apartments to share with friends. While the convenience of living on the Lawn is missed, students are usually glad that they have a stronger sense of autonomy outside of the residence policies.

RESIDENCES

On Campus Residence: Ellingston has been and always will be a residential university. Virtually all freshmen and sophomores live on the Lawn and students live on the Lawn well into their fourth year. Most students will spend their first two years within one of the many residence halls the university has to offer, each one of them offering a particular spin on the Ellingston experience, and upper-division students enjoy more unique options, summitting in the Fourth-Year Villa.
