the global model predicts it will go up the east coast of the united states and the eye of irene will go over over New York City.
The European model predicts it will go up the east coast of the united states and the eye of he hurricane will go west of New York City.
Right now Irene is moing at 14 mph and is still on the coast of florida maybe Georgia idk. The winds are 110 mph (category 2 at the moment)
If you are in pretty much anywhere south od New Jersey then chances are it will be a category 2 when it gets to you.
If you are in New Jersey, New York, or Pennsylvania (i think Maybe Conneticut and Rhode Island too.) It will be a category 1 by the time it gets to you.
Pretty much anywhere north of that it will be a tropical storm.
Good luck to anybody in the path of the hurricane. :)
