Let's talk about achievements. I'm sure some of you may have won a few from time to time irl, whether it be from your sick athletic abilities or you m4d br33ding and f4rm sk111s. The achievements I'm talking about here aren't about anything you could ever do in real life, however. These achievements are online, virtual accomplishments. Wahoo.
Some of you may be interested in an achievement system similar to your precious x-box or ps4. Well fuck you. That's not the way I want this to work, make your own blog. Those current achievement systems work in a way that would have certain difficulty levels for each achievement, ie bronze, silver, gold, platinum. I don't like that. You can also usually only get an achievement one time. I also don't like that. You know what else I don't like? Typically there are really boring achievements that go somewhere along the lines of “Do this thing 1 time.” “Do this thing 5 times.” “Do this thing 100 times.” You don't need 5 different achievements for doing the same thing.
The way I would like this to work would be basic and simple. Screw point systems, there will be no achievement score. There won't be any “tier” of achievements like I mentioned before, they're all on the same level. Also, to make it mesh better with tengaged, you can achieve an achievement as many times as possible. This will successfully eliminate the “Do this thing ## times” shit.
Here's a template for some standard and not-so-standard achievements I came up with. They're going to be categorized. Come up with some of your own ideas for these because I don't know enough about games anymore to know what's special and what's not. Oh yeah, we're going to call these medals by the way because I like medals.
Rookies
[Rookies Winner] Win a slow rookies
[Frookies Winner] Win a fast rookies
[Social Game Guru] Do not get nominated a single time in a slow rookies
[Competition Powerhouse] Win 4 PoV's in a single fast rookies
[Spammer] Won the most HOH's in a single slow/fast rookies
[Frookies Floater] Make it to the final 4 in a fast rookies without winning a single PoV or HoH
Castings
[Castings Winner] Win a castings
[Key Stalker] Collect at least 10 keys in a single game
{NEGATIVE MEDAL} [Oops, Misclick!] Accidentally click on the poison
Fastings
[Fastings Winner] Win a fastings
[POV Power Player] Win the most POV's in a single game
Survivor
[Survivor Merger] Merge in survivor
[Generous Hunter] Eat less food than you've hunted in a single game
[No Social Game Necessary] Be the top scorer on your tribe on every challenge
{NEGATIVE MEDAL} [Kpeller] Get voted out after eating and drinking all available resources
{NEGATIVE MEDAL} [Dumbass] Ate with the fire out
Hunger Games
[Hunger Games Winner] Win a Hunger Games
Idk anything about this game
Stars
[Stars Winner] Win a Stars
[Stars Finalist] Make the final 3 in a single Stars
[Unnominated] Play Stars without being nominated a single time
[Close Vote!] Survive a poll by 1% or less
[Fan Favorite] Survive an eviction by 60% or more
[Flavor of the Game] Nominated 5 or more times in a single game
Misc.
[Lucky!] Hit the million in Deal or No Deal (Getting over 1mil because of a bonus doesn't count)
[Pro Blogger] Get the #1 blog
[Trendsetter] Be the top trender
Unique (Only a certain amount of people can get these)
[Race Champion] Win a R2B Event
[Seal of Approval] Have randomize approve of you for whatever the reason may be
Obviously most of these suck and that's because I suck at coming up with ideas for them, but you get it for the most point. Here's an example, pretend I am the made-up user “Pirate15”. I have 3000 Karma, and have played 450 games. My Medals will look like the following:
As you can see, it works not only as an achievement system but can also be used to track some of your stats (like wins), and everyone likes useless stats.
