The Wrong Hit (story)

Jake's eyes opened to a small white room. The light had just started peeking its head out, sending rays down open the large man spread over the small bed. Today was the day that after months of planning, he finally was going to remove a big named business man from this world. You see, Jake is what people call a contract killer, or a hitman. What ever fits your taste but they both mean the same thing, they get paid to kill someone. Usually hired by big underworld mob bosses or small town guys who are over their heads. Jake grabbed a milk carton from the fridge and poured himself a glass of milk as he went over the plan is his head. He knew that this was his one and only chance to get the hit, for this was the one and only vulnerable time. It had been hard work bribing people for information and days upon days of surveillance. He had to get every single detail right, for Jake was the best of the best at what he did and he wasn't going to let a business man get in the way of his reputation. He had not yet shot a single bullet that did not meet its mark. Had not yet slit the wrong throat and had not yet failed a contract. Jake walked down the barren hallway, down the stairs and out of the run down motel onto the streets of New York City. A cool chilly wind blew against his bold head and muscular body as he strolled down the street searching the streets for the car, a guy had let him borrow for some money. It was the perfect time of car for him. A blacked out, tinted Mazda rx8.
