As most of you guys know, any Hall Of Famer who joins a Fasting with their designs on, don't do good in the game. I knew that, coming into fasting game#37209. I was one of the last people to join that game, I knew I was going to be targeted right away because of my hall of fame status and designs, so I had to change my strategy up. I couldn't have done the same strategy of having an alliance of 4-5 people, cause I didn't know anyone. Every single person with the exception of Sparky9171(Who was offline, 1 minute into the game) were newbies. My key to making the finals: I call it the "I don't give a fuck". I basically told everyone that I mean't to join a slow castings, and not a fasting. I complained and complained about how I had joined the wrong game. I even said "Well, please nominate me and evict me, no reason for me to stay in a game, I didn't mean to join". Guess what? I did go up, the moment I had posted all of that, half of the players had already locked in their nominations. I wasn't done playing the game though, I said "Please evict me, I don't have energy for this game, I'm really tired and I didn't mean to join this anyways" and PMs were already going around saying such things along these lines: "Let's drag WillyEx to the f8, and then evict him there". I was saved unanimously. all 12 players voted to evict the person next to me. I've never seen a Hall Of Famer stay unanimously in a fasting, specially in a game where all the players are newbies. I knew, I had done something right.
The moment the results came in, and I was saved. I said "Why didn't you guys evict me? Thanks... but I want to leave". From that point on, I was never nominated. I kept going round after round with NO nominations whatsoever. People started drama, and players were targeting each other while I sat pretty, with my alliance partner, marlon6429 who was the only person I had made an alliance with. On day 8, I needed to stop floating. There was only 2 inactive and 6 active players left and Skipper was being aggressive and rude. He was telling everyone how to nominate in PMs. I then decided to make a move and PM'ed two girls(CaliGurl07 and JosephinaAlexis) and got them on board with myself and marlon into nominating skipper. He was successfully nominated and he was in shock. He started cussing us out and saying how he couldn't believe we nominated him. He was thankfully evicted. 2 inactive and 5 active players left and I had already befriended JosephinaAlexis. I knew she would nominate with myself and marlon from that point on, and she did. We got the inactive players out, and then we were forced to eliminate CaliGurl07. I had successfully made finals with two people who I actually liked and wanted to win. I liked them to much and wanted them to win, that I plussed them all the time from day 7 to the final day, in hopes that it would help them win. I didn't care about the win, I had joined for myself, but ended up meeting two nice people who I liked and wanted to win. I've never been happier about a 3rd place before.
I had no idea that my "I don't give a fuck" would actually work. it was really fun for once to be able to join a fasting alone and not be targeted all the time because of my color level, karma or designs. Throughout the game, I met JosephinaAlexis, a sweet girl who recently was getting evicted early in all of her games and marlon6429 who was playing his first game ever, it was nice to work with them and help them get top 2. When I approached marlon6429 to be my "F2" allie, he didn't ignore me, back down or copied/pasted my message to other people. He actually had my back and it was awesome playing with him. It was awesome playing with BOTH of them. So yea, I actually socialized with people in the game, which is what castings should be all about. I know, I'm going to sound really cheesy, but that was probably one of my favorite games, I've played in a while and I'm always going to remember that casting. I really hope, I can do it all over again some time, but I doubt it. The fact, I'm blogging this, isn't going to help me do it all over again, either XD
