Joel was the sixth person voted off the island in Survivor Borneo. His departure marked the beginning of the infamous pagonging that would ensue. Many people thought he had the best chance to win pre-how, so his boot was considered shocking at the time, since he was physically one of the strongest of Pagong. The girls of Pagong decided to target him, right before the merge because they perceived him as sexist for laughing at Gervase's sexist joke and also because he was a physical threat.

Joel is one who I want to see play again, although that may be an unpopular opinion. He may have been an iconic player/character come merge, but he was voted out for LAUGHING at Gervase's joke. Uhhh, what about Gervase? The man who told the joke? +++
