To me because ageism against old people isn't really a thing (but it's definitely well-warranted). When y'all don't hold the economy, senate, supreme court, house of representatives and white house hostage, maybe we can talk about ur little ageism tears

I mean forcing an old person out of a job (not talking about elected officials) but in a private company, is ageism just to hire someone new. Especially if the older person is just as qualified to still do their job
sjsoccer88 that isn’t a position of power but I get your point. Discrimination on a socioeconomic/power-wielding level in (America’s) zeitgeist needs to have leverage, power, etc. to be anything more than a bias (ageism, racism, sexism). It’s why you can’t be sexist to males or racist to white people, they are the power-holders, much like old people wielding all the power in America, so the only ageism really demonstrated is towards young people
