Not proud to be an Iowan tonight.

imageSteve King congressman from Iowa appeared on MSNBC'S coverage of the RNC. What he said during the interview is appalling.

Here's an excerpt from Time Magazine.

"While participating in an MSNBC panel hosted by Chris Hayes, King objected to a comment about the current Republican National Convention being dominated by “old white people.”

“This ‘old white people’ business does get a little tired,” King said. “I’d ask you to go back through history and figure out, where are these contributions that have been made by these other categories of people that you’re talking about, where did any other subgroup of people contribute more to civilization?”

It's pretty clear what he meant by these comments. No matter what political ideology you believe in or what party or canadite you support, this behavior is not tolerated. I'm ashamed that he has served my home state for 10 plus years and how his words reflect badly on our proud state.
