Mole Diary #9: The Final Five Nov 29, 2014
Look out below, we're down to the final five!

Only five competitors remain; Me, a Mole, and three crafty competitors.  Let's take a look at our remaining suspects...

EM002
- Selected #3 in the Bomb Mission when it was the next in the "pattern"
- Selflessly spent $0 in the auction and gave $5,000 to our pot
- Hit the balloon many many times
- Earned maximum amount of money in the 1,2,3 game
- Earned money in the Dice game... hmmm, he's been earning a lot of money lately... perhaps he is trying to throw us off?
~Overall he has been playing a hard game... is he a dedicated contestant, or the most diabolical Mole in the history of Moles?!  There have been several cases in the past where he has directly or indirectly attempted to lose money... but lately he's been doing one hell of a job ^_^.

turney1805
- Selected #3 in the Bomb Mission when it was the next in the "pattern"
- Readily admitted to being Mafia in recent Dethy mission
- One of the last players to vote for Anthony in the Exemption Dinner mission
- Lost his Dice mission when all he had to do was spam 100+ people...
~Turney has been active but mischievous throughout the game, mayhaps that tea he is always sipping is really Moler-gade in disguise!

Daniel123456
- Did not play a single card in the 1,2,3 game, which indirectly, also means someone else would not be able to complete all his/her matches
- Lost his Dice mission when it was super simple to win...
~Daniel appears to have been playing all sides during the course of the game.  Was he trying to gather information, or trying to make allies so that nobody suspected him of his Moleism?

Ryan_Jambe
- Supposedly stuck to the pattern in the Bomb Mission, which would not be a Moley thing to do
- One of the last players to vote for Anthony in the Exemption Dinner mission
- Lost his Dice mission, on a very specific technicality...
~Ryan has been laying low and flying under the radar for the majority of the game.  However, looking back on some previous mission, he is constantly involved in our Failtastic efforts...

...

RIP aiwfwyattroh - it was nice getting to chat with you a bit on skype shortly before your departure, I did think you were a nice guy ^_^
RIP rawr121 - We had JUST started talking and you helped us win $9,000 in the 1,2,3 game!  I'm sorry our blossoming friendship was cut so short!
RIP Ethan000 - it was fun to work with you while it lasted, although I will admit, I was a bit entertained by Daniel betraying you and the interesting stories you had to share!
RIP Jkjkjk15 - I was super sad to see you go, you were definitely one of my favorites!  I really wish you would have been interested in being an ally!
RIP RShowFreak - Well hot damn, supposedly everyone but me and rawr121 had you as a prime suspect.  I suppose it is a blessing to them that you got the boot, wish you would have stayed around a bit more so people would be on the wrong trail ;).

...

Five hours until the next execution!  Wish me luck, I'll definitely need it!

Mole Diary #8: Dungeons & Dragons Nov 6, 2014
Oh wait, there's no dragons?  My bad, ignore that! ^_^

Mission #14
Into The Dungeon

In this mission we were all in a dungeon.  The premise was that we could choose to leave, or be kicked out.  Depending on how you were kicked out you could get a penalty, and depending on how you left, you could earn money.  The last person in the dungeon would receive an exemption.

Aiwfwyattroh, Ethan000, EM002, Jacob_C and Ryan_Jambe all left in the first round voluntarily earning us the maximum $4k per person.

Snake, daniel123456, and Rawr121 all didn't vote the first round, losing us money and eliminating themselves from the game.  Very suspect on their part.

This brought us down to Jkjkjk15, myself, RShowFreak and turney1805.  Considering all the people that wanted Janet to get the exemption, if they really wanted her to win it, they should have stayed in longer so they could help protect her.  The only reason I stayed in was to ensure Janet won the exemption considering she had shown consistently that she was selfish and trying to earn money for the group.

turney1805 supposedly told Jkjkjk15 that he'd be voting RShowFreak, but when the votes came in, it was evident that he lied to her.  Turney and RShowFreak ended up voting myself, and Jkjkjk15 ended up self-voting.  It was suspicious all around.  I was more than willing to step down voluntarily, and turney was aware of this.  In retrospect though, this plan probably earned us MORE money.

The way things worked out, turney stepped down and earned us $2k.

Had Turney & JK stuck to the original plan, RShow would have been voted out and either A) Turney and I would have stepped down earning $4k or B) Turney and I would have voted each other, JK would have broken the tie, and the other person would step down afterwards and we'd only earn $1k.  Scenario B is by far the more likely scenario since I would have only stepped down to grant JK the exemption if Turney had done so first.

So whether it was intentional sabotage or not, Turney's actions resulted in us earning $2k vs the very likely $1 at the end.

Until next time.

Mole Diary #7: Mafia Nov 6, 2014
Mafia!  Perhaps my favorite game ever (besides The Mole, of course).  During Episode 6 it was all about Mafia.  And perhaps I should let everyone here in on a little secret: I am a Mafia Guru ^_^.

For starters, I have been an active member of MafiaScum (www.mafiascum.net/forum) since 2005!  And during college I also started my own Mafia Club where we played once a week for my entire college career!

So let's get down to the games:

Mission #12
This group of 8 players played with 2 mafia, 1 detective, 1 doctor, 4 townspeople.

Ethan000 very early claimed Doctor, which is not the thing to do… and interestingly, when Day started after the first kill Ethan stated he'd kill "Snake, Andrea or Daniel" … ALL THREE PEOPLE THAT ENDED UP BEING NON-MAFIA.  Very suspicious…

Daniel123456 and IceIceBaby were very quick to vote Snake when that wagon started.  Effectively voting out the first townsperson.

In the end, the mafia (Ryan and Wyatt) offered EM002 an exemption if they helped them win (since Ryan already had an exemption anyways).

But big picture, virtually everyone contributed to the Mafia's success.  Daniel's vote for Snake early on, Ethan's vote for Snake along with his desire to lynch Snake/Andrea/Daniel, and Eric's decision to go for the exemption over money, all led to our less.

Mission #13
We played a variant that Nick has called "Mafia Squared", where there were 4 different cops of different sanities, and 1 mafia.  However, the game is actually called Dethy, a breakdown of the strategy for this game can be found here (http://wiki.mafiascum.net/index.php?title=Dethy/Analysis).

However, Jkjkjk15 quickly put an end to any mole's attempt to sabotage by claiming Mafia and allowing us to lynch her.  Game Over.

I find it unlikely that she would be mafia because of this… but for all we know it was a brilliant ploy to throw us off her scent and help the team win money… only time will tell.  I guess I was a little bummed though that I didn't get to showcase my mafia expertise… maybe next time :(.

Mole Diary #6: Double Exemptions, Double Execution Oct 29, 2014
Exemptions for everyone! ... Well, not really.

Mission #10
This was a simple mission in theory, but those desperate for an exemption would totally screw it up.  We had a poll and we had to get it as close to 40 votes as possible.  The trick was that whoever had the most votes when the poll closes would win an exemption.

turney1805 and Ethan000 both started to spam away.  I safely assume we reached well over 40 shortly after the mission began because of this.  We had the option to stop the mission if 10 of us agreed to it.  I was away at the time enjoying my drunk self, but when I came on they had 9 votes to end and just needed one more, so I quickly capped off the mission.

I would say I was suspicious of everyone that didn't vote to end the mission, but let's face it, we were doomed from the beginning.  We all knew we'd gone over 80 votes by the time we were voting, at which point it wouldn't matter if we ended it early or not.  Perhaps The Mole knew we'd already gone out and hit rock bottom and tried to get us to "end the mission" as a farce... who knows...

Mission #11
This mission was also simple in theory, 12/15 of us had to agree on one person to get an exemption.  When all was said and done, we utterly failed.  Too many egos were clashing.  When the timer was up, *I* was the only person who submitted my vote to agree on anyone to get the exemption.  IceIceBaby also announced that she thought I was the Mole because she went all out on me on Quiz #2 and is still here.  What do I say to that?  Bullshit.  Mainly because I don't think someone would reveal who they've been voting as The Mole, but that's just me.  Maybe I am The Mole, but I think how I performed in this mission speaks for itself.

Execution time!  Insertnamehere went bye-bye for failing to submit his test, and barkmrck3tg (probably my #1 suspect :o) got executed after being slower in a tied result.  See, and people were worried about giving away an exemption.  Mark wasn't even close to getting an exemption, if players had just voted to give it to anyone or voted for Wyatt as the majority was doing, we could have easily got more money.  *sigh*  The team mates keep calling one another a GAB ("greedy ass bitches"), but in my opinion, if you weren't voting for "anyone to get the exemption" then you yourself were being a GAB.

Until next time!

Mole Diary #5: Boxes & Balls Oct 24, 2014
Hello again!  Welcome back to another entry of "Clicky's Adventures in Moleland"

Today we shall discuss, Mission #8 & Mission #9!

Mission #8 was fairly simple, we could choose to add $2,000 to the pot, or, we could pick a box which may or may not contain a prize!

Snake was the only one to pick $$$, which is actually super Moley in my books.  The only reason someone would want $2,000 over the possibility of a token or exemption is if he is The Mole and just wants to make it look like he's playing for the team... very suspect...

IceIceBaby didn't do anything, forfeiting her money or box opportunity.  Poor Ice, hope The Mole didn't kidnap her!

A lot of people claimed to have empty boxes, so it didn't turn out to be so beneficial for them after all...

#WhatsInYourBox

Overall, nothing overtly sneaky in this mission... onto Mission #9!

Mission #9 was hella crazy, and was probably my favorite mission thus far!  We basically had to pass a ball around and the more people that touched the ball, the more money we would make.  But at any time someone could stop the chain and put the ball on the pedestal.  Doing so would earn them an exemption *if* that chain was the longest in the end.

turney1805 and Ethan000 got into a heated exchange that resulted in the mission stalling.  Real emotions or an act of sabotage?

A couple of players did absolutely nothing except put the ball on the pedestal as soon as they got it; those players were: insertnamehere3, Daniel123456, Ryan_Jambe.  In other words, they did nothing to help us actually earn money.

Meanwhile, Rshowfreak, IceIceBaby, and Tunertin also snuck quietly in the background, not doing a single thing... hmmm...

But what about the active players?  Here is a list of all the suspicious passes and plays that stalled the game:

turney1805 passed to RShowfreak when he wasn't online.
turney1805 passed to IceIceBaby when she wasn't online
Snake announced he was online so Jkjkjk could pass to him, but he then wandered off.
Jacob_C put the ball on the pedestal when we hadn't built up a chain bigger than the previous one (effectively starting us over), then Jacob passed to Ryan who wasn't online.
barkmrck3tg passed to Tunertin when he wasn't online.

A very crazy round, with basically almost everyone acting suspect... but there's only one Mole.

Mole Diary #4: Guns & Bombs Oct 21, 2014
Tick tick tick... BOOM!  Pew pew pew.

The sounds of bombs and gun fire.  The Mole has turned into a WAR ZONE!

This week we had a game of minefield, and a game of paintball ^_^.

In mission #6, everyone chosen to be above ground (including myself) were facing off against the person selected as the follower ( Elias5891).  If we had a runner, at any time we could post that we began running, and then 20+ minutes after we could post again to finish out run.  If we successfully completed our run we'd add $5,000 to the pot!  However, if Elias was on and willing, he could shoot us and we would not earn the money.  But why on earth would Elias do that?  Well, one of us was randomly chosen to have an Exemption, if Elias shot that person, Elias would win the Exemption instead!

So what went down?

barkmrck3tg decided to run right away, which was probably good, considering Elias wasn't on yet and hadn't read the challenge.

Elias did indeed come on, but was nice and said one person can run, so I took my chance and earned $5k for the team!

Elias then stipulated he'd be back at a certain time and if anyone made it between then he wouldn't shoot.  turney1805 choose to run, but he was 2 minutes short, so we all knew Elias would be back and have 2 minutes to decide whether to shoot turney or not, and he did.  :(

Ethan000 went next and I pretended I had a gun to shoot him with.  Based on his reaction I don't think he is The Mole... OR was it all a facade?  Perhaps he knew I was faking and he responded angrily to throw everyone off... hmmm...

I think Elias5891 performed like a genuine player.  He wasn't too greedy but gave himself a 1/8 chance of winning an exemption.  However, if he wasn't The Mole, he could have said from the get go that he wasn't going to shoot but 1 player... by playing around with us, he was perhaps delaying our time and setting players up to be too scared to run and cost us all money.  Overall, I think Elias was a great guy and very true to his word, Mole or not, he is a swell dude! ^_^

...

So onto Mission #7!  Basically this group was playing a game of minefield, where the "mines" are replaced by "moneybags"... but watch out, because one of the squares is a BOMB that would instantly lose all the money earned for that challenge!

insertnamehere3 did a couple of things to put him on my mole list.  First, he selected 2 squares at once.  Ideally, one would wait until the results of the first square to determine where they'd go next (although in all honesty, with the two choices insert made, I don't think either square would have had an impact on the other so it wasn't a big deal).  Second, he come up with a rule that none of the moneybags would be touching each other.  He used this assumption to mislead the team.  (Mathematically, it's a 6x6 grid, there is technically no way to arrange 10 bags so that none of them are touching).

jkjkjk15 & EM002 did a great job at deducing the moneybags and earning money for the pot.

Overall, we won $55k this round!  And The Mole only got a measly $5k!  We've taken the lead!  HOORAH!

...

There is one note of interest, Jacob_C was selected as the leader, but did absolutely nothing this challenge.  Perhaps he was doing something behind the scenes that we will shortly find out about?  Only time will tell...

UNTIL NEXT TIME MY MOLE HUNTERS

xoxo
