Inactive Games = Active Games - Active People / Active Games + Play to Win Jun 23, 2008
imageWhat was the most active game that you were ever in? What was the most active game that you ever saw? These are the questions I really want to know. For no absolute reason at all! :).

Well, for me, my most active game so far is my first one which was kind of decent. But the third and most recent one I am in right now is really steady and has a lot of conversations. I think that the first couple of days, there are a lot of posts, but once you get into the Final 5, conversations just die out. Maybe there's a lot of pressure on who will win.

What about inactive games? Those games are kind of the worst. There are quite a few reasons for an inactive game. (A) Some or most people are inactive. This causes (B) The active players to get rid of the other active players so they can take those inactive players to the finals and have an easy ride. That can sometimes cause (C) which in fact is when people don't really care about the game anymore. I'm guilty of all three letters and so are others. Many noble people, not including me, likes to get rid of those inactive plagues to make the game more enjoyable. It's not just a competition, it's just a way to meet and chat to people.

Now let's get on to another subject, backstabbing. This happens when one person lies about something. Simple as that, complex as heck. (Rhymes!). Now, I do believe that everyone is entitled to whatever they want to do, and I think backstabbing is for people who want to get good ranks, not make friends. Yeah, you win a game! Le whoooo! But the same people are most likely going to be in another game with you and it's Shame on them if they don't target you ASAP. So even though backstabbing is legal, revenge is too. So watch out and be cautious. And for people who always get backstabbed, don't be a sap,  do something about it. It makes the world round.

I just love to blabber on and on...and...on....

Even Brighter Ideas! Jun 18, 2008
imageWell, since everyone loved my first post about some ideas and twists, I decided to make another one. Here are some more ideas for the creators of the site to ponder at. I really hope they're good since I really want to make an impact for the site since I love it so much. Well, without further ado, here are some more of Cyan's Great Ideas!!!

+ There should be a feature in which we could see a page of every member of the site, not just the top 20. There should be a ranking of every single member of the site excluding those who never played before. It'll be cool to see ourselves and the actual number of members on the site. This isn't really a necessity, but it'll be really cool to see if newbie’s like me have what it takes to reach the top 20. But I'm really curious about the number of people on the site.

+ Another not really needed idea is to have like the member of the week or month in which that person has done a lot of activity during the site. Like that one person, who got into a huge streak of first, sorry, don't really remember your name, but that guy is so good winning all of those games. You probably know what I'm talking about. Or an honor for the person who referred the most people onto the site.

+ Also, there could be another game type in where there could be a jury-type ending where the people who were eliminated could vote for the winner. It'll probably make everyone work harder in getting to know everyone. It could change the whole outcome of the game. The eliminated players could have the same number voting scheme and the jury votes could have a factor in the algorithm in deciding the Winner and Runner-Ups.

+ Another crazy idea that I had thought about is that there should be secret couples for everyone. However, it would be only 10 people. You get more karma if your partner and you have a good combined average. Or something like that. I know that sounds dumb....

+ There should be a forum or chat board just for everyone to talk. It'll be cool to talk to people you played in a game but can't reunite unless there's a way to. Maybe a Post Message (PM) feature should be added. It wouldn't count for any games so you don't have to worry about writing what you want to say. You could talk to anyone and block anyone. Just a simple feature that can help the site! :). Also, maybe a board or forum for people to talk without being in a game. It could stimulate more conversations and more friends meeting each other in the site! =D

Erm, I already see that the finale of the Rookies game is only down to four! The winner will be revealed right after that! I love that new feature, it makes the finale that much awesomer! =D I love it! I really cannot wait to play in the Rookies game; I need about 16 more Karma points to go. Maybe if I win or get second place in my game that I'm playing in right now, I might be able to get in. But I play only one game at a time because two games at once it way to hectic for me and I'll probably crash and burn at both games...lol. So these are just my humble ideas that anyone can think about. The creators don't have to do them; I'm just helping them out with some ideas if they are lost and need my inspirations! <3!

Bright Ideas! Jun 17, 2008
imageOkay, I just love this site so much that I might offer some special and fun twists for the game.

+ There should be a game type in which players could play in pairs. There could be twenty people in the game, and the pairs vote together and would be evicted together. It'll cause more panic and it could get someone to really get to know their partner. They have to sign up as pairs and would have to say which person they'll team up with. I know it sounds crazy, but it's a cool thing to make people get to know each other. Also, since it requires a little more than just clicking a button, there will probably be less inactive people.

+ Radars that eliminates inactive people. My game that I played had an inactive person that didn't even check in after the first day. She floated towards the final day and got 5th. If someone doesn't even post in the game, they should be automatically out. I know this might be hard to do, but they should be really, really in harm of eviction.

+ Varied days so that the finale could have only 2 or so players. I think that being a final 5 is too quick. It just doesn't really end the game well, it makes everything so quick and fast. Either the beginning could have a double elimination because I think 5 people in the final day is a bit much. Or it could be four. Or it could be longer.

+ An All-Stars game where the top people agree to play each other. I know it sounds like the Rookies, but it's the best of the best battling it out with one another. It could have a Gold color...lol. It'll probably give you more points than a regular game.

+ Instead of everyone getting to use certain features, you should make a shop in which people sell their karma to buy things. Maybe new clothes or new features only available to those who buy it.

+ There should be twists in random games where there could be a double elimination. Or someone could be brought back. I know it's hard with just an algorithm, but it should be a mode of playing. Every game has at least one random twist such as stated in the beginning.

I don't really think these are great ideas, just random ideas that I have thought about over my time playing the game. Hopefully many new things are going to play, so good luck everyone! =D

Dissappointments and Overexpectations Jun 17, 2008
imageWell, I just finished my first game ever. It was a really fun game, but I had a vacation during the time period over the game and I tried my best to go on the internet on my Iphone, but it was hard trying to check in while you were getting ready for Weddings. Well, I made it to the last day due to the allies I made during the game, I'm glad I did. I was never nominated and made it to the Final Day.

However, I was driving back to my home State and I couldn't even write a message during the Final Day, the most important one. Two others in my alliance posted like crazy and both of them made it 1st and 2nd. I was saddened because I thought I could've gotten better than third. But I tend to always strive for my hardest and I should be proud, I made it better than 7 other people. One person in the Final Day didn't even go on the site since the first day they were there. lol. That's sad, that person got 5th. Also, another person inactive on the Final Day made it fourth.

I guess I should be proud, but I really want to win. Hopefully my next game would be better. This site is really fun and I enjoy playing against other people I hadn't met. I made a couple of friends whom I hopefully meet again soon. I'm loving Tengaged! =D
