So basically I had a dream a couple of days ago where I think 500 people were thrown off a plane and into a dome (They had parachutes) and had to basically land and try and hide places. The dome was 100 miles wide, and a huge forest. Everyone had a whole hour to get far and find a place to hide/stay for a while, before the forty killers are released. Basically the killers have 100 days to hunt down and kill all 500 people, and obviously the 50 people must survive and fend for themselves during that time. Whoever survives goes back to normal life, and are granted immunity for the rest of their lives from people randomly chosen to go in there again. Players can kill the killers if they can, but they are given no weapons and have to make one if they want to kill them. Obviously people can work together, but it's easier to find the players if they're in big groups.
Also, the whole thing will be broadcasted on live TV for everyone to watch (In that world, it's a common thing that happens about three times a year) and there is 541 channels all for it. 500 for each player's perspective, 40 for each killer's perspective and 1 for the broadcasters to talk about the remaining players, how they are coping and doing predictions etc. Every channel is on for 24 hours a day.
Any ideas e.g. Characters, what environment it will be, rules, name etc.?
Russell11 thanks, and yeah it did remind me of the hunger games. I think the reason why I had a dream about it was because I watched anarchy election year this week, watched the hunger games this week and I play 'PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds' which basically all three mixed together make this. I'm going to be posting it on a website called Quotev but I'll probably do blogs about it too :P
zhen the killers will be dressed up in suits and scary masks like the movie 'The Purge', and after 100 days when the game ends, if a killer has not killed any players, they don't get a reward, and if a killer kills a player (or more), they can get any two wishes they want granted, no matter what it is. Also all of it is broadcasted live so people can watch it and there is 520 channels to begin with, each from a different player/killer's perspective and if a player/killer dies (unlikely for a killer), the channel will be deleted.
You need a couple of people that are tired of hiding and start going after killers.The environment should be a forest to have plenty of hiding spots.A rule should be that if a killer doesn't kill they get killed or become players themselves.
lhooper902976 Ok sweet, I'm pretty sure there's gonna be a couple of players who make their own weapons and hunt for killers. Also I really like the idea that if a killer doesn't kill they get turned into a player themselves, but it might be where if a killer hasn't killed a player in 40 days (because it's 100 days long) they'll be turned into a player. But two problems about players killing the killers: The killers have knives, swords, axes etc. And also the dome is 100 miles wide so it's really hard to find a bunch of players, especially as everyone's trying to survive and not be found by a killer.
OK, another question DeathNote, are sponsors involved? And what are those qualifications? Also, have you considered supernatural elements powers on a few players/killers? Or were you trying to depict the story as "natural as possible"
I'm you probably won't do this but why don't you make the ending a big twist where like a poison gas is released In the dome and everyone dies.Go Stephen King or something DeathNote XD
zhen , Basically it's going to be futuristic, and when a player/killer dies they'll be evaporated, but their clothes and equipment will stay.
purplebb4 , Haha, I probably won't make everyone die by poison gas, but a good twist could be where all the surviving players have to get to a certain area in 48 hours or they die, and the killers can kill them as the remaining players try to make their way there. And thanks for the names!
DeathNote maybe the 40 killers could be randomly selected players who each NEED to kill 10 people each in order to survive otherwise they are killed by the people running the game. If they don't reach their kill quota in time

zhen Honestly I have no clue, it's most likely just going to be some story on Quotev. I guess I'll try to say that 'anyone can write a book, even if it's a stupid idea from a dream you had like me.'
