Coming in 63rd is Surskit. Surskit has a great design and I love the concept. This issue is how weak surskit is compared to every other pokemon you can catch around that time. Surskit in my opinion has one of the worst defenses in the world and it feels as though sometimes it can only take one hit. I'm not sure how this one will go over in the rankings but for me Surskit deserves this low rank.
Charjabug is down here because of the design mostly. I love this line of evolution but charjabug's design is weird. It is the battery pokemon so it kind of makes sense but I dont get how it moves or really does anything. Other than that theattack and defense are pretty decent and it is a bug electric type which is neat but I feel lik there were many opportunites for a better design.
Burmy is here at 61st. I'm still not sure I am buying into the idea of it and the concept. The whole chaning types depending on when it last battled is too much for me really. And I guessI just do not look at Burmy and think that it is a bug type. Another thing that bothers me is males evolve into Mothim but females evolve into Wormadam BUT are permanently in the last form they evolved in. So say you were hoping for the bug steel (trash cloak which is such an appealing name btw) but instead it accidentally levels up do to the exp share you have to cancel the evo and try again possibly making the future moveset to be bad. Overall Burmy is just kind of different to me and i feel like could have been though out better.
Ranking 66th is Kricketot from the sinnoh region. The reason Kricketot ranks so low on my scale is because of the moves it learns early on. Normally it only knows bide which is a struggle when you are normally facing either a flying type (starly) or bidoof who only knows tackle and must attack. If you can ge it too evolve it becomes infinitely better but in the game there are so many better options that working with kricketot just is not for me.
Volbeat is down this low because it is just kind of a boring pokemon. It doesn't evolve and just isnt exciting. I dont see Volbeat and go "I NEED THAT POKEMON" (P.S. Its face is also real creepy) . It is also what i call one of the trickster pokemon. They seem to take forever to defeat and almost impossible to beat sometimes BUT when you catch it it dies immediately and it awful. That's really all I have to say about it because like I said its just boring.
Illumise is the exact same as Volbeat so just see that paragraph. The only reason I put it higher is I like the color scheme a little better. Also this face is a little less creepy.
So before I get all the comments about combee being so low let me explain myself. Combee is a useless piece of garbage until it evolves. ALSO only the females will evolve into vespiquen so that makes half of them completely and udderly useless unless for breeding. I made the mistake once before I knew on the females evolve of training a male one until like 3 levels over where it would have evolved if it was a female. So I do have a little vendetta against this piece of honeycomb.
Spewpa is down here around the bottom and ranked lower than either of its counterparts. Many of the the other 2nd form at least resemble something that makes sense like a chryssalis or cocoon (mind my spelling). But no it looks like some gray thing whering a plastic bag. It does have a great defense and can learn protect but I am more of an offensive battler so it just does not work for me.
Shuckle mostly ranks this low because I have no idea WHY its a bug type or any type. Back in the 2nd gen whose idea was it to make shuckle. Like what is it? A worm in an apple or rock? And worms are not bugs so... Its actually the mold pokemon but its bug and rock type. Like I feel we missed the chance for a good poison type here. Anyways shuckle is decent in battle BUT it is not intimidating or cute and just confusing as to why it exists.
This little blue seed thing is probably one of the worst bug type pokemon in my books. He needs to be traded for a shelmet to evolve and even after it evolves it still isn't the best. It also is not the looking pokemon with the big angry face and short little arms.
Shelmet the snail pokemon ranks number 71 on this list for mostly the same reasons as 72. Any pokemon that needs to be traded to evolve is just not my favorite. The only reason shelmet ranks above karrablast in my books is because its possible abilities are pretty wild. Also it looks kind of funny.
Durant is just a pokemon I was never excited about. It doesn't evolve and you do not meet till towards the end of your journey when your team is pretty much full. Although a colony of durants might be pretty terrifying one on its own just looks stupid. Also steel and bug is super vulnerable to any fire type move.
Im around 300 T dollars so im getting prepared to buy my last piece to make it a full avatar! I want a mouth that isnt too wild and goes with the sleek look of my avatar. Thanks
