For those of you who want to make a picture of your dream avatar? You can do this by doing the following. If you need the id # of a design? Just go through some of your friend's profiles and look at their gifts to find shops. Click on the shop name which will take you to the shop. Then you can click on a design to get the id# from the link from the labs. You can also just hunt through the auctions for a lot of them. You can also do what rock_on88 suggested below:
Since sometimes only a few of the designs are previewed in a shop? You may want to just ask the person who owns the design to go through their designs, and click on the link (title) beneath that design, which would take them to the link of the labs and have them send you the link!
To try on a design on your avatar? Do this:
HOW TO TRY ON A DESIGN
Go to where the design is in the shops and copy the number part of the link, like this highlighted one for example: http://www.tengaged.com/design/id-71996/sw33t-blue-eyes
You would just write down the id number which in this case is 71996.
You need to use Googlechrome and then you would just go to where you change your avatar’s designs (where the default designs are) and right click any eyes you have stored in your designs that you are not wearing at the moment and click Inspect Element. When the blue line comes up? Just double click it and go to where the blue line says
“type-h-67205 ( for example)
Now change that number after the h- to the new id number.
So in my example I would double click the number showing until it lets me change it and I would type in 71996. Then you close the inspect element with the “x” on the right and go back and click on the eyes you had right clicked on and they will appear on your avatar.
You can’t save the changes, but if you want to screen shot it you can save it that way.
If you are trying on hair you would just pick any hair design and do the same thing!
To make a screenshot and have the picture be the same size so you can post it or put it next to your blog picture? You would do this:
Hold down the alt button and press PRtScnSysRq button
Then hold the Ctrl button and press the letter V
Now to paste it?
1. Start "Paint"
2. Paste
3. Save
To make a picture that you can be put on your blog for example of your avatar with different clothes on?
When you are in paint? Instead of doing the 3 things above? Do this instead:
Click the crop button and just put the lines around what you want to cut from the screenshot
Right click in the picture and press cut
Press the control key and the E button
Change the size to 200 x 230
Click paste
Save as a jpeg and save the picture to your pictures
I hope that answers any questions. If you only have one design? You can just use it and change the Id # to whatever you need. You would have to change the first letter also to either h for hair, m for mouth, c for clothes, e for eyes, hi for hair ornament, n for necklaces and jewelry and t for tattoos which includes skin. To add, the designs are no longer seen / available in shops since only few of the designs are previewed. So in that case, one may just ask the person who owns the design to go through their designs, and click on the link (title) beneath that design, which would take them to the link of the labs.
