I cannot unfortunately reveal the details of the dream I had last night, but suffice to say it was X-rated, set in the eighties and involved someone putting a paper bag over my head at one point.
Hmm. Self-esteem issues much?
So the Improve Evilminx Campaign strides onward. It is now officially Day 4 - but as I havent really done much other than take the munchkin to school and shout at the older one for hogging the bathroom when other people need to use it - I cant really report back on that.
I washed my hair yesterday - the first one post hair dye - and the resulting water looked like someone had viciously massacred several hundred ribena berries. Why would anyone do that? Why?
Yesterday, I got my new phone delivered. Its a Blackberry. My brother thinks I am an idiot and I should have got an Iphone and he says I should send this back and request an Iphone instead.
He intends to come round later today and show me his Iphone - in an attempt to sway me, but I shall not be moved. People I know who know phones (as opposed to fall in love with gadgets) think that for actual practical purpose, the blackberry I have is better for my needs. So take that to the bank, evilbrother!
For some inexplicable reason, I seem to have tengaged dollars falling into my lap. Its clearly not through blog votes, although I am grateful for any votes I recieve as it all helps, so it must be the stay active on blogs n stuff get bucks thing.
Im not going to join a game quite yet though - I need to do a lot of housework and it wont get done if I have to be perpetually active in a castings game. Maybe I shall save up enough for a rookies instead.
I should try and sleep a bit more, my dreams are so great at the moment its a terrible shame to have to wake up and spoil them!
I ate very well - did some light exercise and a lot of housework and dyed my hair a fetching blueblack colour. In recent weeks at 2am I would have been avidly watching the upcoming tengaged eviction, but not last night, no siree! I was head to foot in black hair dye and sitting here waiting for the prescribed time to elapse so I could go and wash it off and go to bed.
Obviously I didnt go to bed until later than that, around 3am - and I had to be up at 7.30 to get the Munchkin minx ready for school - but I did have a very interesting dream about being pregnant and giving birth to a baby that said "flibble" as its first word just a few minutes after it was born.
Unfortunately the alarm went off just as the midwives turned up to check the baby out and so I didnt get to find out if this was normal baby behaviour.
In hindsight, I am fairly sure it isnt - but then equally, giving birth without really noticing you are doing it isnt normal behaviour either.
And then pressed return instead of moving down the post so there was no actual blog.

I have no money left to play now. Its saddening, isnt it, when that happens!

Ive been watching the developments with tengaged court of late with interest. I think they have made the right decision removing identifiable members from being the face of the "court" - when you are trying to moderate something fairly - its impossible to do that when you are besieged with abuse / complaints.

You can never really get it right - only do what is within the interests of the site and its members, and deal with breaches of the rules by following the agreed format for site discipline.

The one thing I do think lacks a great deal on this site, is a mutual respect for the members. You are all playing a game guys, and yes, that game can get heated, its the sort of game where people may backstab you when you least expect it, and I'm sure thats got a great deal to do with why people find it so much fun to play.

But just remember - there are people sitting in front of the monitors reading the words that you write. Some of the stuff I have seen on here I have been quite shocked at - no matter what game you are playing, abusive name calling sucks - and picking on someone for their differences, be that sexuality, likes and dislikes, hobbies, religion, whatever - its 2009 now - shouldnt we be past all that?

Its actually pretty damn awesome to have something different about you that makes you who you are. Its just a shame that some people see those differences as a weapon that can be used to attack a person.

Much as you may not like it, a site like this HAS to be moderated and monitored for inappropriate content. Some of you are minors, underage, etc - and for your own protection this has to be a priority on the site, much as you may not like your freedom of speech being curtailed.
.
It would be way too much to expect everyone to get along - but you can treat each other with respect - report SERIOUS issues to tengaged court, not minor quarrels, and understand that the people who run this site (of which I am not one - I just did a lot of moderating in the past and know exactly what a hard job it can be and what tough decisions need making on a day to day basis) are doing their best to provide a fun social environment for us all to enjoy.

The actions of a few, may spoil the game for us all, unless people start to take responsibility for the things they say and the respect or lack of it, that they show others.
