How many keys do you think you would need to secure your self until the final day?

depends if ur in a really active castings probally 5 or more

if ur in a mild active castings i would say 3 or 4

if ur in an inactive castings probally 1 or 2

it also depends how many keys the rest of the cast has too

I have won a game before with 3 when an opponent had 7.  I have seen someone nommed with 7 keys when I had 2 and did NOT get nommed.

It's hard to predict - but know that activity and high scores CAN secure you once you have at least one key.
