Episode Three: "Aston"

--Act One--

Within a small throne room, Lady Chandler ponders upon a small high chair seated upon a perched stage overlooking a crooked, old oak door. Her glistening eyes tinted with small flakes of blissful grace overlook an entrance upon the entrance of a young man, a young adult who stands within the entrance as he gazes up at Lady Chandler within his purple robes.

Lady Chandler: "Brother, what ever brings you here?" She beckons out, calling for her Brother to come forward.

From out of the shadows and into the room, Prince Paulie, now devoted to his father's actions welcomes himself into flourishen holding parched within his hands a treaty and a quill. Both of which containing the word of his Majesty, the King.

Paulie: "Sister, I come of you at the up most of importance"

Lady Chandler remains hesitant, gazing down upon a documented treaty that he holds within his hand.

Lady Chandler: "What do you bring?" She questions passionately.
Paulie: (Tugging upon the scroll he begins to read before his Sister)
Paulie: "The Lady Chandler, Daughter of Dowager Queen Mira Parks. As you have conceived under the name of the King we bring forth a coronation, an act under the name of God in which you will give your life and devotion to his Majesty's pleasure. If you're hesitant or choose not to do so your title as Lady Chandler will be stripped from you and you will be asked to leave his King's Keep immediately"

Paulie finishes his Father's words, gazing up at his sister who remains bewildered upon the entrance of two of the King's Knights, Sir Anthony being notably missing.

Lady Chandler: "I am the King's Daughter. I am a Public Figure, I will NOT do such a thing!"
Paulie: "Sister, for the love of God . . ."
Lady Chandler: (Swiftly interrupting) "Yes for the love of God! Our Family name has become a cruel joke and for the love of God, I call upon you my Brother to take heed of these foul desires and turn it to our Father. For as long as I live I will NEVER become Queen under his name"

Paulie glances at his eldest sister, taking heed her sharp remarks as the King's Guard is beckoned forward. However, the two are swiftly stopped by Lady Chandler, ushering her final remarks.

Lady Chandler: "Look at you, I have no council here and such little friends, I do not need the word of some messenger to tell me of his Majesty's desires . . . Get out of my sight! I do not wish nor accept his King's Offer"

With her eloquent desires, she ushers their departures in which they accept upon Paulie's acceptance of closing the scroll and leading the King's Guard out of the room.

--End of Scene--

Elsewhere, Aston, former Queen Jennifer's Son sits within the Castle's Libraries as he brushes past several stacks of shelved books, only few left upon the tables. He turns softly, his hand upon several as he pulls up a book of the exiled few, notably seen before by his Mother who embarked in reading these before her Death.
Aston's studies are interrupted however upon the Entrance of a tall woman, standing in her wavering gown, her brunette hair folding into curls as she shakes her hand in the air.

Aston: (Flustered) "I'm sorry, Miss" he bows before her, his head lowered as his face gleams of embarrassment.

She chuckles, allowing for him to rise as her eyes glisten in the shadows.
From out of the shadows, Camille Vox introduces herself to Aston who remains by the resting books.

Camille: (Pleasurable Introduction) "My name's Camille, don't worry the whole Court system never really got to me either. With their poncy and make believe words and how they feel they're above every other in this city. I've just arrived myself . . ."

Camille runs her hand across several shelves, most notably the mantle piece in which she holds a small trophy within her hands.

Camille: "I guess I just like a taste of the finer things in life, even if its not what I necessarily want . . ." (Turning to Aston with a smile parched upon her face) "Like your Mother I presume, the Queen wasn't it?" she asks, Aston remaining still upon the question of his Mother.

Aston remains slum, nodding in agreement as Camille shakes her head in displeasure, walking upto the boy and lowering herself before him.

Camille: "Listen to me, dwelling over the past isn't what will get you closure. It's about acceptance and moving forward. Moving Forward is where you begin and until you're able to confront those that hurt you then you can't expect to get anywhere if all you're going to do is sit in a library reading books that haven't been touched in Centuries!" she laughs eloquently.

Aston accepts her words of advise, closing his books before departing. A solemn Camille remains, reaching for the mantle once more before taking firm grasp of the Trophy that caught her eye moments before, she then too departs in a hurry to coincide with her Families Welcome to the King's Keep.

--Act Two--

Furthermore, within the King's Keep the King himself prepares himself within his Quarters. Before him stands his bastard son, Paulie who holds the scroll within his hands. A solemn King remaining intact, his frown being ignited with rage in the blooming flames of his torches.

King Noah: "I want the wench gone!" He belts out in despair.
Paulie: "She is correct though Father, the people love her as they did with Queen Mira"
King Noah: (His facade failing to seize) "I warned you that this would happen! I told you she'd disagree! That stubborn bitch can't seem to get off without displeasing me, The King!"

Paulie frowns, showing more knowledge then his father but opting not to share it as he proceeds to push the scroll to his Father.

Paulie: "If she is to deny you for what you seek then perhaps you shall seek it where else, for when she see's you for who you're, a powerful man with a woman by your side and her own right nullified she'll be the first to want what she cannot have"

King Noah remains sturdy, taking heed of his Son's words before taking his cloak and ushering him away. He angers himself of the words given to him, throwing his own treaty into a flame setting it ablaze as it burns within his eyes before.

--Act Three--

Aston's actions behold him, his weak stature remains volatile as he brushes and collides with the servants of the King's Keep. The words of a potential ally, Camille Vox circulate within his frail mind until a strong hand pounds at his shoulder.

Aston pauses, turning to Sir Anthony who remains high above him.

Sir Anthony: (Intrigued by Aston's motive) "Where are you venturing too?"
Aston: "It doesn't concern you or her" he retaliates, going to leave until Anthony firmly denies him.
Sir Anthony: "Lady Chandler offers you sanctuary and here you're violating what she is giving you. If you're to leave I MUST return you to her"
Aston: "You treat me as if I am some animal . . ."

Aston ignores Sir Anthony's words voluntarily, going to depart once more until Anthony strikes him across the back of the head, Aston falling immediately into a slump as Anthony proceeds to reach down for him.

--End of Scene--

Meanwhile, within the Grand Hall a feast is acquired for the King's Guests. The Vox Family, led by the Matriarch, Dame Zella Vox are welcomed by his Majesty and his son, Paulie as they welcome one another.
Whilst Dame Zella introduces King Noah to her Grandson, Jan-James the beauty of her Granddaughter, Camille cascades into the room in a small fluster as she arrives late.

Camille: "My god, the mazes of this Keep!" (Her voice changes swiftly, acting of importance)

Her Grandmother smiles softly as she captures the eye of Paulie, their target for her to wed.

Camille: "It feels as though I've done a march with the King's Guard" she chuckles as she blissfully enters the Grand Hall.
King Noah: (Welcoming Camille as he kisses her hand) "My Lady" he smiles wondrously, startling Camille who glances at her Grandmother and Brother.

Dame Zella: "Now, now Noah . . . Don't get carried away the girl's barely had her flood gates opened for a year, you never know what might happen!" she laughs with her vulgar language, King Noah sharing a snide glance at her before he takes her seat.
Camille: "Grandmother, please!" she chuckles.

King Noah, Paulie and the Vox Family all take their seats at the Grand Table as the servants begin to pour wine for the Royals. His Majesty, sharing a delightfully smile as he passionately glances at Camille who shifts in discomfort, unknowing if what to approach with, thinking her goal was to entice Paulie rather than the King himself.

JJ glances at his struggling sister, offering aid as he spouts up.
Jan-James: "Your Majesty! . . ."

However his efforts are fertile as King Noah holds up his hand. Turning to the Matriarch of House Vox for admiration.

King Noah: "Lady Zella, what a formidable woman you're . . ."
Dame Zella: "Yes, I've acquired quite a name if I do say so myself"
King Noah: (His smile becoming a snark shun of her comment once more) "Your Granddaughter is of the upmost beauty . . . a spectacle if I do say so myself!"

Camille shifts in her seat once more, turning to her brother is dismay.

Dame Zella: "Do hurry dear, some of us haven't aged in the time passed as you and your frustrations have"
King Noah: (Sighing as he shakes his head) "I would like to bed your Granddaughter tonight . . . as you know my great City is without a Queen and with our kindling Alliance perhaps a crown to fit your Granddaughter's head will strengthen our bond if she is made Queen of my Keep?"

Paulie is stunned by his Father's actions, joined by Camille who clutches at her Brother from the table below until Dame Zella falls back in her seat, wavering her hand above top lip as King Noah remains stern with a gleeful smile upon his face.

--Act Four--

In a darkened room, Aston awakes rested upon a bed that stands upon a high stand. He lets out cold air, which freezes at every inch it grows further from him.
He twitches his hand, his hair folding over his face until a hand brushes it from him.

???: "I never thought I could live without her . . . but every day a piece of her is found within me"

Aston remains still, seeing Sir Anthony on the opposite side of the bed before turning to Lady Chandler who sits beside him.

Aston: "Why are you telling me this?"
Lady Chandler: (With great remorse) "For we both lost something dear to us and now we're both broken. A boy of your age shouldn't be without a mother, and a woman of my great power shouldn't live in fear of what is inside her very own walls"

She awaits for Aston to acknowledge her but he refuses to do so, much to her dismay.

Lady Chandler: "I spent the past 6 months since my mother's death living in an isolated environment where I was alone. Look around, I do not have no friends here. Sir Anthony is nothing more than a loyal servant" She turns her head, bowing her head with sadness.

Sir Anthony acknowledges her, he too declaring sadness for what sets them apart.

Lady Chandler: "I had a friend who told me of the things to come . . . For those things are what set us apart. I am scared of what is to come . . ." (Her hand remaining upon her bulging stomach)
Lady Chandler: "But it is you who I desire most Aston. It is no secret that me and your mother, Queen Jennifer were dissatisfied with one another but for what she bared with my Father is what we share now. No woman . . . No person should bare what he wants from us. So tell me, Little Aston what is it that you seek so much? What keeps you in this Keep rather than searching for relatives"

Aston's eyes glisten in the moonlight, the darkened room becoming colder as he sits up, holding onto his loyal friends hand.

Aston: "I want my Family back, something your Father, our King stole from me"

He bares all to Lady Chandler, who sits motionless as she acknowledges his pain.

Aston: "I want my Revenge"
