Anyone know how the "top players" are chosen? I see myself up there, but I have know idea why...i thought that it had something to do with the Karma you collect, but i've seen people's Karma all over the place...
Any ideas?

I was wondering the same thing. I really have no idea how they're chosen.
The 6 Top Players shown on index page are based on an internal parameter named "activity" which is kind of an average ratio of messages sent during last days.
