Episode 1: "Two Years Ago"
Two sixteen year old boys sit on logs in a forest. Beer cans lay sprawled on the dirt, and embers from last night’s fire still linger. Two tents are placed carefully around the campfire, a girl in each, sleeping soundly. The Sun has just risen, and the forest, slowly but surely, is starting to return to life.
Billy: So? How’d it go last night, Cory?
Cory: It was wild man. That girl is crazy in bed. You couldn’t imagine.
Cory laughs, and Billy joins in.
Billy: Glad to hear it dude.
Cory: Yeah man. And wanna know something else? The girl swings both ways, if you know what I mean. Could you imagine all the-
Lauren: What the fuck, you dick?
Billy and Cory jolt around, suddenly aware of the short redheaded girl, listening intently from her tent. She stands up and puts on a pair of jeans.
Cory: Lauren, I-
Lauren: Save it, asshole! I told you that in confidence!
Lauren storms off. Cory starts after her for a moment, but quickly decides against it, and aggressively sits back down on his log.
Cory: Fuck.
Billy: Well, there goes all that awesome threesome action you were looking forward to.
Cory: (playfully) Hey, fuck you.
Cory picks up a stick and throws it at Billy. Billy blocks it with his arms and picks it back up and throws it back. Within minutes, the two are wrestling on the dirt, and having the time of their lives.
The girl in the other tent wakes up, and walks out of the tent. She watches the two for a while, smiling. When Billy notices her, he stands up, walks to her, and kisses her.
Billy: Morning Norah.
Norah: Morning Billy. Decided to get some early exercise in, huh?
Billy: What am I if not a heavyweight champion?
Norah laughs, and the two kiss again. Cory gets off the ground and walks up to them.
Cory: Ew, get a room!
Billy: (mockingly) Aw, Norah! I think he’s jealous!
Norah: Wow! I never thought the day would come!
Cory: Oh bite me-
In the distance, a person is watching the teenagers. Its eyes glare at the four in anger, and its fists are clenched. After a few moments, it takes out a phone and types something on it. It puts the phone away and, after a while, leaves them to their fun.
Okay so here is all the information I have about my story so far. Gonna make it as brief as I can. I think all of you know the drill by now :p

2. Brief Premise
Five friends, all eighteen years old, go on a cruise ship to celebrate graduating. Unbeknownst to them, however, there is a murderer on the ship. Can they find and stop the killer before too much damage is done? Or will they die by his or her cold hand? Your choices determine that answer. Every one of the five friends can live or die in this story, so make your choices carefully.
3. How It Works
- I think you all know how this works by now, but just in case, here it is. At the end of each part, there will be a choice for one of the characters to make. For example, maybe Billy will need to choose whether to run away from the killer or attack him or her. In that case, Billy's choice-maker (flamergamer8) would have to make that choice by MESSAGING ME PRIVATELY (please don't post your choice in the comments. I want it to be a surprise for the other readers).
4. Other Quick Notes
- It's gonna be in play format.
- In the possibility that someone isn't online for over a day after I post the part, I will put the choice to a poll (via strawpoll). The highest vote will win.

EDIT: Also, I think this last part might be important... the title. Haha almost forgot. It's gonna be named "Arcane."
Hey! More info soon (really tired atm haha), but I'm making a new "build your own story." There are 5 main characters. Each will make decisions that will affect the story, for better or worse.

William “Billy” Porter ( flamergamer8)
- Billy is a natural leader. He is charismatic, outspoken, and driven. He seeks to make sure everyone is having a good time. As he will find out, this task will be much harder than he could have ever expected.
Norah Smith ( imprincearthur)
- Norah is Billy’s girlfriend. She is a kindhearted person. She has a lot of empathy, and thus finds it very difficult to make enemies. She is often perceived as disingenuous because of her all-inviting nature. But in truth, she just wants to make the world a better place.
Cory Bates ( C00LDUDE1000)
- Cory has been best friends with Billy since they were kids. He’s a jock and a ladies man. He is both strong and intelligent. He has a big ego, but only because he actually is as talented as he thinks he is.
Lillian Davis (@Madelyn)
- Lilly is Cory’s girlfriend. She is a cheerleader, and a very attractive one at that. She isn’t the smartest girl, and her attention span is short, but she’s very talented with her words, and she has a sharp tongue. She doesn’t actively seek out drama, but if she finds it, she won’t stop until she’s won.
Lauren McCammon (@Rae)
- Lauren is a good friend to Billy and Norah, and is openly bisexual. She is very blunt, and won’t back down from a fight. She is very smart, and doesn’t have patience for unintelligent or vain people. She does what needs to be done, and doesn’t think twice about it.
In my English class, we were asked to write a story personifying a color. I chose blue. Here it is. (:
Azul, quietly and thoughtfully, walks along the sidewalk of his neighborhood, rain rolling off of his thin blue sweatshirt. The weather is cold, and puddles cover the ground like wet paint on an abstract piece. Birds have all fled to drier climates, warm and comfortable, fully prepared to wait out the storm. Despite the weather, and the darkness of the night, Azul continues on, a feeling of indifference within him; for he is simultaneously freed by and entangled in the turpitude of his thoughts.
On the grass to his left, Azul sees a wet wooden bench. It appears weathered and worn down. He doesn’t want to go home though- not yet- and so he takes a seat, further dampening his jeans. Gently, he shuts his eyes, and he allows his pervasive thoughts to once again consume him.
At that moment, he can’t help but feel responsible for the rain. As ridiculous as he knows it is, he can’t help but feel that he is to blame for it, as if his iniquities have brought the clouds to tears. Sighing, he shakes his head, in an attempt to return to reality.
Out of the corner of his eye, Azul suddenly sees a figure approaching to his right. He opens his eyes wider, looks in its direction, and notices that it is a girl. Her arms are folded and her head faces the ground.
She wears a blue sweatshirt…
“Hey,” he tells her as she passes him.
She responds, “Hey,” and continues to walk. Her voice is soft, yet it seems almost broken.
Somehow that girl, someone that he has never seen before, has managed to clear away one of the many clouds within the storm of his mind with one simple word. Perhaps, he begins to realize, he isn’t completely alone.
“Wait,” Azul says, standing and facing her. “Mind if I walk with you?”
When people see me
They see a hollow figurine,
Painted black and white,
To be pushed to the side
The second a better one arrives.
They see an empty room,
Gray and dull,
To be filled with boxes of the thoughts of others
Or to walk through, to get to a more exciting one.
But I am not a figurine, nor am I room.
I am a human, for now.
And I am afraid,
Not only of growing up,
But of staying young forever.
I am afraid
That I’ll never work up the courage
To write the poem of my life
In the pages of other people’s notebooks,
Or that they will never bother to read it.
I am afraid
That the already cluttered room of my mind
Will one day be too full of other people’s boxes
To hold any more boxes of my own.
I am not a figurine, nor am I a room.
I am a human, for now.
But one day,
If no one picks me up anymore,
I’ll turn into that hollow figurine.
If no one helps me unpack my own boxes,
I’ll become that dull gray room.
And there’s no coming back from that...
