is that every day they continue to be greatly successful is another day that reinforces the idea that Johneh was a self serving loser and an abysmal moderator who managed to cripple the website for years.
While tengaged faces many problems such as:
- No extrinsic incentive to play games after reaching TV star karma threshold (upgrade color level system? revamp betting system? exclusive rewards for winning games outside of karma/t$?)
- No variety in game experience (automated twists? idols in survivor? improve skill expression outside of challenges/spamming?????)
- No new game in years (sole survivor? new stars-level weekly enrolled game... Such as sole survivor?)
- No tailored new-user experience (new player only castings/fastings?)
I believe that this moderation team is a great start to revitalizing the website.
I really think people just want something to be upset about.
Are these ideal mods? No.
Do 'ideal' mods exist? No.
Are there better choices? Yes.
Do I think randomize could have done a better job choosing moderators? Yes.
I don't believe either of the moderators (or Aquamarine , who I really think would be a good moderator despite everything) are out there to ruin tengaged, I'm sure they want to fix many of the same issues we all want fixed.
Rules were posted, if rules were broken then consequences are necessary. Is banning naughty words a priority for anyone? I don't think so. However, it is much more clear cut and easy to ban someone for saying 'x' word than it is to ban someone from being a serial predator or a groomer, even if those actions are MUCH more detrimental to the website and the health of our users.
