VANUATU
Same twist than in Amazon, and same problem. In the women's tribe, everything went great, we got blindsides and drama every episode. But like usual, It's in the men's camp that it was BORING. That's probably the only thing that was messed up this season : the casting, but especially the men. They were all either boring or irrelevant. Of course, except Chris, who had a great storyline and one of the best underdog story ever. I remember when he struggled day 3 on the first immunity challenge. I thought he was a goner but he managed to win, even by being the last man remaining at FINAL 7. This was crazy. But unfortunately, the other men were so oblivious. Taking out all the younger (and hotter) men one by one was the worst thing they could have done to us (I loved John K). Sarge, Bubba and especially Rory were all just awful, I couldn't stand them, acting like they were the boss or something.
That's why I was GLAD the women took the power.
Post-merge is when everything got way better, with the women turning on each other. Leann's blindside is one of the best, she was so not expecting this. Karma is a bitch when you try to vote off Eliza < 3
But in my mind It was Twila who really dominated the season. That's why this Final 2 was so good, they both equally desserved to win.
There were so many powermoves this season, right from the first episode, and then in episode 2 when Dolly was voted out because she was stuck in the middle. It was hilarious. Like the confrontations all along. Twila VS Eliza and basically Eliza, Twila and Ami VS everyone. Those three were TV Gold, even if I liked Ami more in Micronesia.
I'm a big fan when the women are dominating those seasons, It should happen more often tbh.

You've just reminded me why Vanuatu has always been a Top 3 season me. The fact that we had so many power moves when it was such an early season < 3 The female cast was everything (Eliza, Twila, Scout, Ami, Julie, Dolly, Mia, etc.) - Yasur is my favourite tribe ever. I agree, though, the men's cast was very weak aside from Rory and Chris.
I hated Twila. My favourites were Eliza, Ami and Julie.
Remember when Jeff always got hard for Julie and favoured her in tribal councils and hated the people that voted her off, that's why he never liked Chris lol. Then they dated after the show and broke up and Jeff told her she's never allowed to return :(
