This is MY opinion. You will probably disagree with it but you can give your opinion of yours, I'll accept it.
The Kings of Survivor. Once again, not based on just the game, but on their personality, their likeability and other criteras. Narrowing this to 10 castaways was the hardest thing to do, I almost made some ties for me to put all my favourites in here, but I'm not going to do so. So obviously a lot of iconic favourites did not made the cut, so don't blame me, because 10 is not much at all.
If you want after that I can do a ranking of the best players but It's gonna be way too predictible with a Top 3 with Sandra, Kim and Parvati. So please stop complaining If a brillant player is not in here, thanks.

ROB MARIANO
Probably the most iconic contestant ever, whether you like him or not, and whether you think his win was rigged or not.
Yeah maybe they put mindless sheeps in his tribe for him to win. And It turned out to be one of the worst season ever. But he played a brillant game. He was memorable in basically every seasons he was in, and he's the first 4 times contestant of Survivor (Rupert's fourth time don't really count tbh).
In his first season, he was the first one trying to go against the majority alliance in the majority tribe, but failed. He was the strategic threat of the pre-merge, without being too annoying even with his arrogant male side.
He returned for All Stars, and completely controlled the game, by pulling awesome moves (convincing Lex to vote off Jerri instead of Amber for example). IMO he should have won in the Final 2 even If Amber is great too. He just did way more, but was maybe too agressive in his approch.
That's why he became way more likable in HVV and Redemption Island. He went against Russell and It was very enjoying to watch. And It's not his fault if RI was boring, not his fault If the rest of the cast was lame as fuck.
From seasons to seasons, he learn and improved his gameplay. He dominated the game but without being a complete douchebag. Yeah he's cuthroat but that's what I love.
He made to FTC twice and was a physical beast.
With that stats, and him not being a basic asshole that most of the strong men are on this show, I had to put him here. He's a Survivor legend.
Best moment : When he made a deal with Lex to keep his future wife safe, and then backstabbed Lex next TC.

Best moment: Getting pwned by Amber in the F2 who played a far superior game to him.
Worst moment: When he made a deal with Lex to keep his future wife safe, leading to one of the greatest Survivor contestants ever not making the merge
Rob completely ruined 2 seasons of Survivor. There has to be a reason why RI and All-Stars are in at least pretty much everyone's bottom 5 seasons. Marquesas and HvV were amazing... I wonder why...
I can only imagine how awful HvV would have been if Tyson hadn't have been voted out. We would have had a straight forward Pagonging with the Villains making it to the end and Rob winning with ease... Also, if Amber had been voted out at the F10 in All-Stars, we would have had a MUCH better season. Alicia and Tom have both stated that they would have flipped over to join the Mogo Mogo alliance. That would have meant Shii Ann and Jerri would have made it deep into the game...
Yeah that's true but like It wasn't his fault, he was not going to give up the game for our faves to win. He got Jerri out but je didn't backstabbed her or anything, he did what was best for him.
Jimmytv Rob's gameplay just isn't entertaining. Either he manages to brainwash a group of people who follow him blindly (super boring) or he fails to do so and gets voted out.
Rob has never been *that* terrible, but he wasn't exactly great when he was basically bullying John in Marquesas and calling him a "queer", when he wouldn't even look Kathy/Lex in the eye when he explained the situation despite them all being great friends, and when he was a massive douche in RI whenever the idea of him not winning came up...
Yeah he's either in a big leader position and succeed or people see him like the biggest threat because of his leadership role and he gets voted off pre-merge. I kinda like this tbh. But he definitely became less controlling and up his social game from season to season. And tbh that's why he finally won (he should have won All Stars), not because the game was rigged. flamingjoe
Jimmytv Lmao Rob should not have won All Stars. He treated people like legitimate shit. Kathy has stated that repeatedly that Amber actually played a massive a part in ensuring that she stayed over Jerri as well. Kathy said she didn't even know about Rob's comment to Lex, hence why Kathy actually voted against Amber.
People need to realise that Survivor is a social game. I don't understand how anyone can say that someone "deserved" to win over the person they sat next to in the F2. If he deserved to win, 4 people would have voted for him...
His game wasn't as bad as someone like Stephenie's, but the fact that people held such strong feelings of hatred towards him based off the Jury speeches shows that his social game was truly terrible.
Shii Ann didn't even vote based on social game; she voted for Amber because she thought she played a better game overall. Amber's game was more well-rounded; she played a good social game and called a lot of the shots alongside Rob. Why do people always have to assume it's the man making all the decisions?
I get your view on the Survivor game, where no one is robbed and the winner always desserve this win, even If this winner is Fabio.
Well I don't agree with that, because bitter jury is what I hate most about this game, and yeah It can't be fixed but you can't deny that some winners desserved the win more than some runners up on the strategic, social and physical game. Because some jury members DON'T vote based on the social interactions the finalists had with them, but because they don't accept that this is a game where there is no such thing as loyalty or respect or friendship. You just gotta do what's best for you, period.
And I never said Amber was undesserving, she was definitely NOT Rob's sheep and I liked her game. But she hide behind him like she hide behind Jerri in Australia. And she called some shots yeah but he called more, and she wouldn't have made merge If he wasn't here, and you can't deny it.

Jimmytv I can live with people saying that people like Holly or Rob C were "robbed" because they got unlucky in terms of the FIC and never had a chance to plead their case to the Jury. But someone like Rob who not only got to sit in front of the Jury but also got to choose who he sat next to is definitely not "deserving".
The term "bitter jury" is moronic. A person is able to use whatever criteria they want to base their vote on. Why would someone give someone they despise a million dollars? It's easy to make it to the end of Survivir, but being able to get there while establishing connections with people is the difficult part.
I don't understand why you berate Russell's game but praise Rob's. As far as I'm concerned, their games were pretty similar, especially the reasons regarding why they both lost.
That's what I admire about Amber. She was way ahead of her time in terms of gameplay. In Australia, she set herself up nicely in a premerge alliance with Mitchell and Jerri, which got screwed over by the latter revealing the pecking order to Tina. She did, however, align herself with a shield whom would always be voted out before her if they were ever both targeted and she could easily beat in the end. Remind you of someone in All Stars? Amber used Jerri and Rob for her earn personal gain.
Amber's plan of using Jerri as a shield would have worked if Elisabeth hadn't rejected her offer to work with the Kuchas after she was voted out. Rodger revealed this on the audio commentary.
That's precisely why Rob's social game was terrible. "He managed to get everyone to trust him" - That is why he lost. He established too strong bonds with people which meant that they felt utterly betrayed when he backstabbed him. Survivor is way more complicated than simply voting players out. You're dealing with real people whom you have lived with for 39 days. Emotions are extremely high.
"Never vote for him once" - This is not true. Rupert voted for him when he got voted out...

You should vote on whoever played the best game based on 3 criteras : physical, strategic and social games. Not just on the social side of this where someone didn't wronged you so yeah let's vote for that person.
People need to understand that It's a game (yeah I'm sick of hearing this again and again but It's a fact). Obviously you can't treat people like shit (see my Bottom 10 or people like Russell) and expect a vote. But for what I remember, Rob didn't do that. He was not the kindest person of course.
And I don't "praise" Rob's game, It was faaaaar away from perfect. I never said It was. But perfect is boring. We could see him struggling (he got pre-merge twice) and controlling 2 entire seasons (made it to FTC twice, lost to 1 vote once and won the second). We could see his evolution through the years, in terms of gameplay and perosnality, and that's what I love about him.
Oh and his relationship with Amber is perfect, probably why he's also here (see The Amazing Race).
Yeaaa. I've been a Boston Rob fan way since Marquesas. He started off as a likable jackass with strategic potential, then morphed into one of the greatest ever. In my opinion his win was the only thing redeemable about Redemption Island!
Jimmytv I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree. Survivor is just so much more complex than that. It's real people with real emotions. People cannot control their emotions. Tom, Lex and Kathy were all serious friends before the game and for Rob to have completely cut them loose like they meant nothing to him is when he lost the game.

This is what a Jury almost always does. Amber's strategic game was far superior to Rob's due to her clever strategy of using him as a human shield. They made all decisions together, so I don't understand why you think he was this strategic mastermind calling all the shots? He just got more airtime because he's a man. Amber's social game was obviously a thousand percent better. The only thing Rob was better at was challenges, which is the least important factor on Survivor.
Rewatch the Final Tribal Council. The feelings that every single person holds there in All Stars is extreme. They hated Rob much, much more than the Samoa Jury hated Russell.
You can't say someone "deserved" it more than someone else when you weren't even there. The ONLY criteria you're basing your decision on is what is being shown to you on screen. Until you've actually been there and interacted with the people, in my opinion, you can't say who is more "deserving". Amber won because she got 4 votes. Rob lost because he got 3, whether you disagree with a Juror's own personal vote which they can use any criteria to base off is your business. Show me the Survivor Rule Book that states that Jurors must use a specific criteria to vote.
I love the discussion but they were friends if I was friends with him and got cut like they did I was also bitter and Marquesas sucks more then all stars IMO
