I’ve had a great deal of fun on this site, I truly have. I’ve enjoyed the brief conversations I’ve had with players in games, I’ve enjoyed making acquaintances with people from around the globe, and I’ve most certainly enjoyed making some new friends through this site. However, due to certain circumstances, I’m prompted to leave. The first of which being that I’m getting far too busy to actually play regularly anymore, my career is taking up more and more of my time. Of course, this is a good thing for me, but whenever something gets added to your life, good or bad, it’s obviously going to take up some space on your schedule.
The second reason is simply that I’ve lost the will to keep playing here. Something about Tengaged has deteriorated since I joined, I can’t exactly put my finger on it, but this site has descended into… well… further into chaos. Don’t get me wrong, the whole basis of this site is amazing, it’s very well put together and I know coding isn’t the easiest thing in the world, so Randomize definitely has my respect. Unfortunately, though, it’s practically tarnished by players who believe drama is the only aspect of gameplay, players that show no respect to the creator of the site (even if he has been gone for a while, he has a life to tend to and he gave you this entire site to enjoy), moderation that apparently contradicts itself more than Mitt Romney, and overall, simply the amount of stupidity that amasses in a good amount of players’ actions.
I had wanted to leave due to some of these reasons before, but others convinced me to stay by stating that there were still people on this site that are respectable, collected people that just enjoy the game, and so I stayed. At this point, however, I’ve realized that it’s not really worth sifting through metaphorical waste just to find a few gems. No matter how many you find, you’re still sifting through waste.
As I’ve said, I’ve enjoyed my time though. Heck, I made it to brown level in under 50 games with no charities or survivor merges, I’d say that’s a decent run. Of course, I still wish to stay in contact with those that I’ve befriended, so if you don’t already have me as a contact on skype or would like to, I’ll post my skype address at the bottom of this blog.
Now, with that laid out, I’d like to say thank you to anyone reading this blog, because statistically, you’ve had an effect on my stay here, even if it’s in the slightest way possible. And I wouldn’t have had this experience any other way.
