Health: 50% ... But I'm not in survivor?

I purchase level yellow, and to my surprise, I have 50% health! Which reminded me of survivor's game. But I'm not in a survivor game. So, why do I have health? :( What will happen when I reach 0%? Oh the humanity!

Maybe I should have read the memo.
