Okay, let’s continue with the rankings!

12. India (S16): A common theme throughout the previous rankings was me saying “I loved ___ but the pre-merge was weak sadly.”. That does not apply to India AT ALL. Not only was the pre-merge great but a lot of it was due to the “Blood vs Water” theme. One of the most iconic rounds in the series took place in the pre-merge and that was  F14 where Clair (haycsclair) purple rocked herself out to save Nikki. I’ll be honest, the first couple rounds of merge was boring but from the Zyler vote onwards, India really delivered. Great F3, great winner, and fun game overall.

11. Guatemala (S24): Overtime Guatemala keeps dropping ranking-wise but I think that’s just because I’m remembering the game being a bit more predictable than what it probably was. For now though, I’m happy with it being at 11. Pre-merge was very entertaining with the mutiny twist and the infamous “El Camino” moment at F17 (which still has me dead to this day). Merge was incredible too as there were multiple backstabs (looks at Mordecai/BigBen1996 and even Will/SurvivorFan37), blindsides, and some great underdog storylines with Josh (sergeant) and Absolita (Absol). The season also featured a bunch of players finally reaching the 100 day club in the series and in general, Guatemala was super competitive.

10. Greenland (S10): Looking back on Greenland, one of the things I really enjoyed was the “Ice Fortress” twist and all the fun moments that came out of that. It was quite an ambitious twist considering the other twists we had done up to S10. This whole cast was random as we had some Fans who were wildcards and the returnees were pretty much people who couldn’t make it for All Stars so we were kinda hoping things would work out. Kenneth (konohavillage1) winning was awesome cause you rarely see a “Fan” win these types of seasons so it was refreshing to see. Plus his fellow finalist, Josh (Joshbb17) was the first boot in Uruguay so that was another epic storyline. I do think Ryan (Wangifold) was one TC away from winning so him being voted out for 3rd sucked but Sydney (Guigi) getting 19th definitely helped this season ranking wise. Awesome season all around.

9. All Stars (S7): Looking back on it, it’s crazy that Mike and I casted 24 former players for an All Star type of season. You usually see 18-20 at most but, we always found big seasons to be more competitive so we took a risk and welp, the cast really knocked it out of the park. All Stars was the first season to feature both Redemption Island and the Legacy Advantage and I’m happy to say that both worked out great (throwback to the early merge boots blogging about who they’re giving the legacy advantage to). It’s still a top tier moment when Kelly (Kelly0412) got the morse code answer from Will (IceBeast) at F4 and then proceeded to blindside him for 4th. Kelly then went on to become the only unanimous winner of the series. Only thing going against All Stars is how sad it was to see a lot of big names get taken out pre-merge.

8. Taiwan (S6): Taiwan just kept getting better and better and it’s crazy how many breakout characters we had. The biggest star without a doubt was KC (KCObedencio) as he played such a chaotic game and it was fascinating watching him make his way throughout the merge. Besides that, I loved how dramatic the Finale was as Rich (Zed55) was the ultimate underdog. Rich was on a 4 round immunity streak and it seemed like he had the final challenge all wrapped up until he hit the infamous morse code. Rich had a good 1h 30m lead over KC but still, KC came back and won the challenge. Taiwan is the reason why I always tell finalists to never give up during the FIC and the reason why we kept morse code for all future seasons. Fantastic cast and season. I really can go on for hours about how good Taiwan was. Also, one of my favorite logos!

7. Nicaragua (S9): For an all newbie season, the drama that came out of Nicaragua was TOP TIER. The best part is that the drama never got too ugly or to the point where I would feel uncomfortable watching. It’s what every host wants to see and it’s hilarious that the winner Jabbar (rabbaj) was actually one of the people most involved in the drama. There were intense votes, great storylines, and hilarious characters. I mean, maybe it’s because Mike and I weren’t expecting much heading into the season but, the cast delivered on every level. Sadly, the only thing against Nicaragua is Timmy (timtimeytim) going inactive and getting medically evacuated at merge.

And that’s it for part 4!

Remaining Seasons:
S2: Maui
S14: Greece - Second Chances
S18: San Marino - Battle of the Bloodlines
S20: Madagascar - Heroes vs Villains
S23: China - Clash of Clans
S29: Siberia - The Last Dance

PYN if you want to be tagged in the next and FINAL one! :)

Edit: Apparently my memory on the finale of All Stars is wrong haha (look I ain't perfect!). Check out below where Mike (Pieguy555) explains the correct series of events. Still, Icebeast got dummied by Kelly0412.

Okay, let’s continue with the rankings!

18. Ghost Island (S25): To the cast of Ghost Island, I’M SORRY. I was busy in real life so I really don’t know what happened in the game nor do I know how crazy things were. All I know is that Mike enjoyed this season a lot. Both pre-merge and merge seemed to be hectic so I tried to rank this season as high as I could with the limited knowledge I have.

17. Monte Carlo (S27): We originally were gonna use Las Vegas for the location but, Monte Carlo sounded so much cooler haha. The cast was determined through randomization which was a really fun and fresh idea to which Mike should be credited for. Sadly, similar to Ghost Island, I was not part of this season for the pre-merge portion so no clue what happened there. The merge however was pretty fun. We saw Casino Coins in action which was our version of Fire Tokens and I’d say they added a good level of gameplay and led to some amazing moments such as Jordan getting voted out by ONE vote at F8. There were some great personalities but Natasha getting medically evacuated for the SECOND time in the series really had me upset and for that reason, Monte Carlo is ranked a bit lower than one would expect.

16. Maldives - All Winners (S30): All Winners baby! Look it may be recency bias but, I’m happy with putting All Winners at 16. Merge from start to finish was amazing and the cast really delivered. I mean the Matt (GiGi10) blindside? C'mon son, blindsides don’t get better than that. Maybe people dislike the season more than I did but for me, it had the drama and the competitiveness you would want to see in an All Winners type of season. Unfortunately, the Ryan situation really fucks over Maldives ranking wise. For example, until F16, I’d say Maldives was looking like a top 5 season. Once people outside of the game started to harass players, things just got a bit too ugly. Overall, it was a blessing to get 20 former winners to play and it felt like a nice end to the series.

15. Hong Kong (S3): I keep going back and forth on my ranking of Hong Kong but, for now I’m comfortable with putting it at 15. The pre-merge was alright but some key moments included Sydney (Guigi) saving herself with an idol and poor James (jamessmith5) getting swap fucked. Merge was really fantastic as you had two sides going against each other and we even saw a Kass-like flip where Brian (justdontevictme) flipped on his alliance to save Christian (Christian_) and Sydney. Overall it was a very fun season and for our very third season, we couldn’t have been happier.

14. Brazil (S19): This may come to a surprise to some people but Brazil was such a fun season to host. On one end you have the duo of Stef (lemons) and Brady (CoachWade) who successfully ran the game and then on the other end you have a Mike Holloway type of story in Ethan (Ethan000). There were idol plays, clutch immunity wins, and some epic blindsides (poor Brady really got backstabbed by Stef at F4). For a season right before Heroes vs Villains, Brazil really delivered and met my expectations. Also a special shoutout to Drew (Tester) who played the game (and made F3) even though he was in such a different timezone!

13. Ethiopia (S15): Ethiopia has a special place in my heart as it was the first season I hosted all on my own. From top to bottom, this cast was awesome. Actually that’s a lie, I really can’t remember what Alf, Jayden, or Zach did. But in general, this was probably one of our most competitive seasons (especially for all newbies) and it got really intense near the end. Ethiopia was also the first season for many big players in the series such as James (J2999), Tashi (tashi), Josh (sergeant), and the list goes on. Besides the competitive gameplay, it just felt like the game never got too ugly. Everyone was very active but treated the game like a game and were generally pleasant to host. Hopefully this ranking explains why so many players have returned from Ethiopia haha.

And that’s it for part 3!

Remaining Seasons:
S2: Maui
S6: Taiwan
S7: The Caribbean - All Stars
S9: Nicaragua
S10: Greenland - Fans vs Favorites vs Failures
S14: Greece - Second Chances
S16: India - Blood vs Water
S18: San Marino - Battle of the Bloodlines
S20: Madagascar - Heroes vs Villains
S23: China - Clash of Clans
S24: Guatemala - Last Chances
S29: Siberia - The Last Dance

M&N's Survivor Season Rankings (Part 2) Sep 10, 2020
Hello! This is the continuation of the season rankings of M&N’s Survivor. Part 1 can be found here:

Okay, let’s continue with the rankings!

24. Mongolia (S5): Ah Mongolia, what Zimbabwe could have been. I really loved this cast. It was competitive, hectic and there was quite a bit of drama near the end of the game. There’s a couple of things that ruined Mongolia’s rankings and that is the two medical evacuations at merge. Besides that, I loved Benlinus as a winner and even more, I loved the F3 of Benlinus, LeQuisha (LusciousLips5) and Bob (islandsurvivor). Also, the F5 for this season was insane as Jorge (Sunfire) purposefully fell on his sword so that Benlinus could stay in the game. Great season, great cast, and great gameplay. But, Billy (greenranger8) getting medically evacuated at F4 due to inactivity completely ruins this season in my eyes. Also as a side note, this is the first season we started using +’s instead of X’s when reading votes!

23. Kyushu (S13): Going into Kyushu, I really had no expectations. Sure on paper the cast looked good but after Galápagos Islands and Egypt, it was getting tough to get excited. The trend continued! It sucked that this season was so predictable as it was run by an alliance led by Vlad (Vlad21) but overall it was a fun cast. Also, I know this may sound weird but, I absolutely love how Kyushu’s logo came out so that’s why it’s being ranked somewhat high considering the gameplay. In the end, I do wish Vlad won this season. I think he played a much stronger game than Jake and it sucks he never had the same success in other seasons

22. Turkey (S28): Turkey was such an amazing game all until the Zyler incident. Everything was going smoothly and it was very competitive. Once the whole Zyler incident happened, the season felt tainted. To this day, I still stand by the fact that it didn’t impact the game. But, for me to fuck up that badly, it really did a toll on my mental health. Besides that, I loved Turkey and everything else about the season..

21. Uruguay (S1): The very first season! It’s crazy to think back on how many big group game players applied. People had faith in us and it was a great start to the series. The season as a whole however wasn’t the best. The twist was Back to Basics and the Arachan tribe couldn’t win a challenge pre-merge to save themselves. Coming into merge, it felt like we were gonna see a classic Pagoning but instead, we saw an epic comeback led by Mel (me2013) and Patrick (GrrrImABear). They ended up making F2 together and honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better F2 for the very first season. The only problem with Uruguay is that it didn’t feel as competitive so at times it got a bit boring.

20. Saipan (S8): Saipan keeps aging like fine wine. Right now it’s ranked at 20 but over time, it might go higher. Not only was this the first season for many big names in M&N’s Survivor (Jordan, Dana, JB, Will, etc.) but, we also had a fantastic F3 in Matt (GiGi10), Austyn (Oysterman11) and Mud (mudndawilderness) who controlled the whole game from start to finish. Matt and Austyn were phenomenal as a duo and while Matt did win, I would have been equally as happy if Austyn won. Some other key moments include Crystal taking out Tim in an epic idol play where only her vote counted and Will’s immunity run near the end. Only thing against Saipan is that it got very predictable.

19. Easter Island (S22): While I think the theme of “Fans vs Floaters vs Flippers vs Flops” was a fun one, I just wasn’t a fan of how boring the pre-merge was and how much the Joker’s twist flopped. You’d think that Ryan (BigBrotherDonny), Stef (lemons), and Kasey (Kaceyhope101) would have been good jokers but, they decided to play dead which really slowed down the whole game. Things really picked up by merge and it got a lot more fun especially near the end of the game but overall, the pre-merge portion really tanked Easter Island’s ranking. Some fun moments included Patrick’s (Patrick319) meltdown, Raul (MrBird) refusing to vote off Alan (Alanb1) during the Finale (and ruining everyone’s plans in doing so), and watching the games of Tyler (Vanhow10), Mordecai (bigben1996) and Andy (@amf7430). Also big shoutout to Nick (manalord) for not being a flop joker and actually getting into the game!

And that’s it for part 2!

Remaining Seasons:
S2: Maui
S3: Hong Kong
S6: Taiwan
S7: The Caribbean - All Stars
S9: Nicaragua
S10: Greenland - Fans vs Favorites vs Failures
S14: Greece - Second Chances

S16: India - Blood vs Water
S18: San Marino - Battle of the Bloodlines
S19: Brazil

M&N's Survivor Season Rankings (Part 1) Sep 6, 2020
Hello! As part of wrapping up M&N's Survivor, I figured it was time to update the season rankings.

Some things to note:
1. These are my rankings. Mike's rankings will obviously be different.
2. Just like you, I am human so my opinions/rankings on seasons change all the time but for now, this is what I'm feeling.
3. 6 seasons will be revealed at a time so we're looking at 5 blogs in total to go through all the season rankings.
4. There will be some twist names thrown out in these rankings. If you’re wondering how these twists worked, feel free to check out the season overviews on the wiki to get an idea of the twist.
https://mns-survivor-series.fandom.com/wiki/M%26N%27s_Survivor_Series_Wikia

Okay, let's get started with the rankings!

25. Egypt (S12): In Egypt, we saw the emergence of the “Pyramid Duels” and “Mummy’s Curse” twist. In retrospect, these twists should have been used either in an all returnee season or I should have listened to Mike and let Mummy's Curse be a bit more powerful. In this case, the twists fell very flat as the cast was quite inactive and those who were active, didn’t see the benefits in trying to win the duels. Egypt also was fairly predictable as Ray (GentlemanG) managed to run the whole game from start to finish so it just felt like we were counting down the days until the reunion. Overall, this season ranks a bit higher just because of Ray and Ruben (JeffProbstTF). Ray was excellent in his gameplay and Ruben sent great confessionals and was a breath of fresh air personality wise.

26. Tasmania (S17): Tasmania on paper was a very stacked newbie cast especially 17 seasons into the series. However, right at the start of the season, everything started to go downhill where IRandomal123 and RArsenault quit. We also saw Darcy (Boots22) getting swap fucked which also hurt the season as Darcy was an active player. The twists played out okay but again, the inactivity really hurt this season. It got so bad that the winner of this season, Dylan (DBWs), would actively try and cause chaos just to improve ratings. The only reason this season ranks higher is because of the “All Immune” Tribal Council at F5 where for the first time in the series, everyone was immune before the votes were read. Tasmania had some fun players but in general, it was kind of a let down. Maybe that’s my fault for over hyping it pre-season.

27. Galapagos Island (S11): Oh man this season was rough to host. It was super inactive and I don’t think Eric (Awwsum11) was even invested and he WON. Parvati (ParvatiS) was great but again, this season was not competitive at all. The only reason this season ranks higher than Fiji is because of one person: UnicornChicken aka Tyler. Tyler was a great player and character. Had he won, this season would have been ranked so much higher but by him getting voted out 4th, it was a tough blow to Galapagos Island’s ranking.

28. Fiji (S26): In many ways, this season was probably the worst job Mike and I have done casting wise. Actually fuck that, I blame Mike. We were deadass informed of the premade who applied pre-season and they STILL got casted even though I told Mike many times to cut half of them. Kelly (Kelly2722) still claims to this day that he didn’t apply with his friends and that it was a coincidence but either way, a better job should have been done by us. In the end, this season pretty much got run by the friend group and Kelly dominated every aspect. This is a rare season where our hosting skills impacted the seasons rankings.

29. Sweden (S21): The theme of this season was “Dynamic Duos” but in reality, it should have been “Toxic and Draining”. We saw many uncomfortable fights, people quitting due to pictures posted and overall it was just not a fun season. Jake (Lemjam6) really ran the season but his alliance quite frankly ruined the fun of the season. Similar to Fiji, Mike and I should have done a better job casting and cutting some pre-game relationships.

30. Zimbabwe (S4): I’ll be honest, I can’t remember a season that had me more frustrated than Zimbabwe. Great winner (Rob/robulusjgreisonne) but the F3 was just a dominant alliance who ran the game from start to finish with no opposition. It was very predictable and when you add a quit and a medical evacuation during the MERGE, it was probably as close as I’ve gotten to quitting hosting. Also while this is gonna sound petty, I was really proud of the season logo (especially because it was at the start of the series and I was still learning how to make logos) and Mike came up with a great twist (Target Twist) but then it all got ruined by honestly, a very dumb cast, who couldn’t see a VERY obvious trio (Rob, Hudson, and Sam).

Remaining Seasons:
S1: Uruguay
S2: Maui
S3: Hong Kong
S5: Mongolia
S6: Taiwan
S7: The Caribbean - All Stars
