It was kind of boring honestly. Just 90 + 120 minutes of them hatching a plan to kill Vecna, finding out he's been the Mind Flayer all along, failing to kill him, and then the last 30 minutes are just dedicated to them all just being reunited. The last two episodes were just a big waste of time to set up the final Season 5.
Even the characters they killed off weren't shocking: Doctor Brenner, Eddie, and Jason. They teased us the whole episode that they were going to kill Max, faked us out like 4 times, and then once they finally killed her off 11 gained some magical healing powers and brought her back to life. The 'huge' twist was that Max is alive, but in a braindead coma and 11 couldn't find her when she went inside her mind in the hospital.
Overall, a convoluted and way too long season that resulted in... next to no conclusion. They could have ended things with this season but instead they are dragging it out for another season to face Vecna again.
