Judi because whether most people like to admit it or not, they were victims. Their lives were lost and they had very loving parents who not only lost their children, but had their lives utterly destroyed because of public perception, despite being pretty kind and loving people.
Eric and Dylan aren't victims in the sense that the others are, but their anger, rage, and mental illness that lead to this is sad in it's own sense and we will never understand what truly went on in their mentally ill minds.
Personally, I wouldn't use the rhetorical choice of "opened a dialogue." Makes it seem like the shooting was justified because it caused people to talk about mental illness, js
wow i didn't even know it was today. i started reading the columbine book it's amazing and i recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more about this tragedy.
