I personally voted for JLF too win, as he went unnominated all the way to the final 3. I would really be shocked if anyone made an argument that Someguy outplayed JLF as of course several of the players have documented he did very little in the game to try and protect himself. (It can be argued that it was his strategy to continue to be nominated but I'm not really buying it) However, Someguy isn't a bad person first of all, although he wasnt a close ally I have played several group games with him and hes a good guy. Im sure he didnt expect this, or ask for it, but when people decided to start telling him right off the bat that he shouldn't have joined the game blah blah in his blog, it started the sympathy/underdog mentality that people started taking in trying to defy those who told him he had no chance. The "noobs" on this site indeed can cast their vote in stars and I think what they have done here was upend the tengaged elite and show that they have a voice, taking in someguy as one of their own. By nomming him 6 times it became apparent that he was going to be a flavor in this game and no one should really be surprised that he won. What bothers me is comments like "the people who matter know you he didnt deserve it" showing the tengaged elitist attitude that led to the "noob" uprising in the first place. Although someguy didn't deserve this win, the elitist attitude adopted by many on tengaged that, if you dont have a certain amount of karma or aren't at a certain color level, your opinion doesnt make a difference is what caused this. So really dont blame someguy, blame the cast for making him a flavor, and blame yourselves for not taking the noobs seriously. Maybe now you'll understand. On a side note, WHY DIDNT THIS HAPPEN TO ME WHEN I PLAYED STARS..I guess I tried too hard lol.
Someguy did nothing, he was only lucky enough to be the first person in stars everyone said had no hope, and could connect with the "noobs", he was handed the win only because noobs wished to prove a point. Shops is controlled by those of high levels, rookies are controlled by high level premades, noobs are tired of being pushed around :P

first off, where was this during my first stars? lol
second off, i completely agree. this elitist mentality is getting old, just because your a higher color level or your ranked doesnt mean you're entitled to anything. Maybe instead of threating "newbs or people not as popular" like dirt or disposable units, people realized that EVERYONE has feelings and we are all human beings. No one's opinion is more valuable that someone else or no one is more entitled than someone else.
