Just wanted to tell you all about an event that happens every year in december in Sweden and some other countries around the world.
Its a charity for helping people. Each year the charity is for different things, this years theme is "Every child have the right to have fresh and clean water".
3 radio-hosts is sitting in a glass-cage on a sqare/plaza in a city between 10-16 december and hosting this whole event. They must live there and they aren't supposed to eat anything just because to show everyone that people around the world don't have the opportunities as we have.
People, unions and celebreties around Sweden is giving money to the charity and its called "Musikhjälpen" in Swedish, thats "The Music Help" in english. And the reason that it have just that name is because that when people donating/giving money they can wish a song that might come up in the radio.
Right now they have got 1.219.718 kr, thats like.. 182.436 american dollars, but it will be much more!
Big famous celebreties are auctionering out so much stuff that people buy for much money! For example, Jennifer Lopez have donated a pair of her short red pants to one auction that is still going on right now. :)
Last year this event got 18.104.362 kr (Swedish crowns), thats 2.707.923$ american dollars.
I love this charity because it shows that people value that more than expensive christmas presents and other stuff we spend our money on in the christmas time.
They have a live stream 24/7 if someone are intrested.
