It gets annoying when my roommate invites people over, then cancels/reschedules/changes the length of their stay. I have to mentally prepare myself to accept company and be friendly, and it sucks when the plans are changing every hour.
yeah that sucks. and that's really rude like what he is doing.

I think next time when he tells you his friend is coming, INFORM HIM AHEAD OF TIME that you will be busy doing whateverr at a certain time so that you would appreciate it if he makes sure he and his friends can hangout somewhere else after that.
Therefore, your request is already established. And if he breaks it, it will be his fault because you already asked him NICELY AHEAD OF TIME.
