Vanessa told James about Becky telling Shelli and Clay everything James was saying about them, so James decided he didn't want to sheep Becky, and James controls Jackie and Meg, Vanessa already had Austwins, Steve and John didn't want to go against the majority.

Becky should have never put up Shelli.  James/Meg/Jackie were too threatened by Shelli and Austwins/Steve are closer to Vanessa than Shelli.
