I made finals in my last stars, and here I am, in finals again, to tell you why you should vote for me to win! I’m not going to bore you with details, so I’ll make it fairly short.
First of all, I played hard from day 1, making a final 3 alliance (with amills5 and MightyGoober) to watch my back for the entire game. I established a connection with many other players as well ( shyannemystik, Lemjam6, RoboZoe, and later on quackerz), setting the tone for how I was to play the rest of the game. These were the people I was going to be loyal to, until it came to the right time to turn on them.
About halfway through the game, my alliance became divided about who to nom. Some people in the game wanted to put up the inactive and others didn’t, which led to the split noms of myself and RoboZoe. I survived that poll and I felt confident in myself. However, not two rounds later, my alliance again became divided, and the only person I was friends with prior to the game ( amills5) made the mistake of making a set for the opposing side. The rest of the side found out, and since I was his “duo” in the game, I also had to pay the price of going up on the block.
Here I picked myself up, and I knew that playing the loyal game wasn’t going to work from this point forward. I made an alliance with quackerz and I also started to talk to Carsonl and TheEclipse more. However, I locked in all of my alliance members from here on out to better position myself for the rest of the game. I may have lied about what I did, but it put me in the best position I could have been in.
My main goal was to make finals, and I knew in order to do that, I couldn’t go up with Shyanne. Neither of us wanted to go against the other. Whether I had to split, or put her up with someone who I knew she would destroy (sorry Jake), other people wouldn’t want to nom her against me, and it worked out. I helped get her nommed against another popularity threat ( obscurity) so that I wouldn’t have to face them in a poll. I knew if Shyanne went up with Joey, I’d go up with Sagar and I didn’t want that. I’d have much sooner taken my chances with Joey (sorry, ily) over Sagar or Shyanne because the two that didn’t go up were almost guaranteed to go up the next day. So, while we were both nominated (and nommed each other) several times and despite us being targeted together on multiple occasions, I accomplished my goal of not going up with her.
In addition, I didn’t have multiple friends going into this game. There were many obvious pairs/trios of friends. I knew people had loyalties over myself, and I couldn’t have that if I wanted to make it to the end with a shot at winning, so I worked on splitting them up as soon as possible.
Finally, I tried in this game harder than most of the cast. I know I played a strong game from start to finish, and I don’t think myself getting nominated was due to any mistakes that I myself made. People either saw me as a popularity threat, or wanted to get up one of my alliance members. I was aware of my surroundings, and I knew what had to be done to give myself the best shot at winning. I am proud of the way I played and I don’t care what anyone else says, because I’m the only person that knows how I played from start to finish.
I made several new friends in this game that I hope to continue to be friends with later on. I obviously want to win, but I’ll be happy with any winner. You both played awesome games as well!
